My washing machine keeps stopping mid cycle. It flashes the numbers F 11. Do I need to have a technician come out? What might the problem be?

I just worked on a washer with the same problem, had to replace the central control unit or ccu, unfortunitly it also could be the mcu motor control unit, with all this computer stuff it's hard to know what part it actually is,some places tell you to change both parts for this problem,i noticed that there was alot of clicking sounds coming from the top of the machine from it trying to communicate with the other components when the code came up so i changed out the ccu and it took care of the problem,if you send the model number i can look up your machine for you or call your parts store, give them the model number and they will sell you the correct parts.just take your time when changing out the ccu, mark the connectors or make a diagram, there's alot of wires but if you mark them you'll have no problem,i'm gonna look up a site and send it to you and hopefully it will help you out,one more thing with front load washers,i've found that if you use more than 1/4 cup of H.E. detergent you'll have problems with the spider gear,it's in the rear of the tub, using to much detergent eats at the gear and when it goes you'll know it,it gets very loud in the spin cycle like the machine is going off balance and the tub makes a slaming sound, just keep that in mind
