If it doesn't see it at all you will want to open up the computer and check all the plugs to make sure they are seated properly. Then check and verify your BIOS is configured properly. If you see it but it's not acting right then try using a DVD cleaning disc. Other than that if it really is as new as you let on, get on the phone with their support.. jump through some hoops and they will (hopefully) send you a new one. Budget machines have Budget equipment. It's not too uncommon for the equipment to fail.
