Turn the printer on before changing the ink cartridge. The mechanism will only go to the middle if the printer is turned on.

How to replace ink

Hi Good day!!!
to change your ink cartridges follow this steps
1. Switch on your printer by pressing the power button.
2. Open the cartridge access door and wait for the cartridge carrier to move to the middle.
3. Press the tab in front of the empty ink cartridge and remove it from the slot.
4. Remove the plastic wrapping from the replacement ink cartridge and take off the orange tab. To do this, carefully twist the tab and snap it off.
5. Place the new cartridge into the slot you removed the old cartridge from; then push it down until it clicks into place. The label must be on top of the cartridge, and the plastic tab should be at the back.
6. Close the cartridge access door, and your ink cartridge will be ready for use.

I have difficulty removing the old cartridge, and I don't want to force it and break the printer. What is the best technique for removing the cartridge?

Make sure the printer is on. Once you open the cover, the ink cartridge carrier automatically goes to a loading position where it moves to the middle. Then, you can replace the cartridges.
Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier won't position automatically to the middle even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Just unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the solid white strip and gently slide the carrier to the middle of the printer. Load the new cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to power source.
