Mdg3000aww gas dryer. drum turns. ignitor glows and goes off but no flame.

I suppose you made sure the gas is on. The valve probably has two valve coils sitting on top; one is a dual coil. My guess is that one coil is "open" (no continuity).

On MDG3000aww the dryer is not heating, How can I get it to heat? Do I need to call the gas provider or a service expert? If this will cost over $300 I want to just replace the appliance.

Below is a video to show you how to diagnose your dryer "no heat" problem. You will need a multimeter to troubleshoot with. Here is a list of the parts you may need depending on the ones you find that are bad. Don't worry, this is just a list of the parts that go out and does not mean you need to replace all of them. You will find that only one or two are bad. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

May Tag Gas Dryer Model MDG3000AWW - Dry works but no heat, more dry/ less dry lights flashing. Whats wrong? How do I get heat again?

it is either your glow coil or it is your ignitor
open the door and remove the four screws
take the front panel off.
leave the door attached so you can test the dryer
be very careful not to touch any wires while you are doing this
now close the door and turn the dryer on
does the ignitor turn on?
if yes that is good
does the ignitor glow and no flame?
sometimes it will take a minute to show it's problem
if the ignitor glows and no flame replace your ignitor coils
make sure to turn the power off when replaceing the coils

Maytag neptune model mdg3000aww heats for 20 - 30 second then the burner stops.

The most common failure item is the gas valve coil(s)

Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.
Below are some links provided by, www.repairclinic.com. This can assist you with diagnosis, parts ordering and replacement.

If your dryer doesn't heat, check these:

Igniter
Gas valve coils
Igniter Modern gas dryers use an electric igniter to ignite the gas from the gas valve. When it's working properly, the igniter glows bright orange. When it burns out, the dryer tumbles but there's no heat because the gas can't ignite. When the igniter burns out, you need to replace it. If the igniter is held by a tension bracket, you very well may need to replace the bracket too.

The igniter is inside the dryer housing, near the bottom front, usually in a cone-shaped metal tube (the force cone). It's about 2 inches long. It's mounted to the far end of the burner tube, and it has two wires attached to it--or to the tension bracket, if there is one.

Gas valve coils Watch the igniter. Does it glow bright orange, then shut off without igniting the gas? (When the gas ignites there's a large blue flame.) If so, there may be defective coils on the gas valve. Mounted on the top of modern gas valves, there are black electrical coils. The coils, when energized, open the gas valve. If one or more of the coils are defective, the valve doesn't open and the gas cannot ignite. Because it's often difficult to properly test the coils, it's usually best to replace both (all) of them at the same time.

Neptune mdg3000aww starts heating and runs fine but stops heating shortly after start up can restart heater starts again and shuts down

If the machine keeps running but just not heating you have a thermostat issue. It could be the operating therm. or the high temp limit therm malfunctioning, shutting off the element.

If the machine stops running completely, check the door switch.

Maytag MDG3000AWW drum moving slowly

If the belt looks worn you should replace it. But it sounds like the idler pulley has gone out of position or possibly broken. The idler pulley adds tension to the belt and keeps it from spinning on the drum surface. Check the path of the belt on the bottom of the dryer. That is where the idler pulley is.
