Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Have a Digitech Vocalist II that stopped reading the midi chords transmitted by my keyboard. Checked midi cords, all settings (keyboard and harmonizer). And the inside of the digitech. It does not appear to be a physical problem. any ideas?

Try a different signal source (tape player, cd player etc) and see if the sound gets into your device, if it doesn't see that sound either, then the problem is with the digitech and not your midi keyboard. The digitech doesnt have midi chords, just analog so I'm a bit confused when you say MIDI. I have the digitech vocalist IV and it doesn't have midi in or out either. only analog in, also two XLR's and etc. great machine by the way, I'm sorry to hear yours has quit working for whatever reason.

I have three keys getting malfunctioned /cords not changing in left side, on split board.can this be fixed?

If those keys work normally, it's hard to see how the key switches themselves can be bad.
Is your keyboard MIDI capable? If you play the same chords, does the MIDI output look OK?
Could it be that your keyboard simply can't play all of the different sounds at the same time? I know some are limited in how many simultaneous tones can be played.

The digitech vocalist live 2 ,the left side button(reverb, enhancer) , activates the right side (harmony) LED's on the circuit board itself are lit up and nothing happens. t

The buttons are probably scanned as a matrix and possibly a circuit board has been cracked causing wrong data to go to the microprocessor in it. It is unlikely this will be a DIY fix so you should contact Digitech for a repair facility.

My digitech looper phrase sampler will not turn on

A common problem is that somebody has paired the WRONG power adapter to this unit.

The REQUIRED adapter should be 9VAC (not DC) at 1300ma or 1.3 amps.

Note that UNIVERSAL replacement adapters will NOT work with the Vocalist.

NO power light from Digitech Vocalist 2 live. Power supply OK. Is there an internal fuse. etc? need tips to troubleshoot.

Check that your power adapter is for 9 Volts AC (not DC like most pedals) and is rated at 1300ma or more.

Can you use the digi-tech4 with a keyboard instead of a guitar?

Of course you can. I would send rather simple voices to the vocalist from the keyboard rather than really wierd sounds as the vocalist has to analyze the sounds to decide on creating the harmony from your voice. They do say it can be used with keyboards in the literaturee.
