SOURCE: water not wringing out

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Rate me pl.....if helped.

SOURCE: my washing machine makes machine gun sound and

Interesting... I don't have a solution, just a related problem. Belt broke and after repair, I observed that water is leaking from the bottom of the tub during wash cycle. I guess it could be a cracked tub (not too likely) or a gasket around the agitator bearing. I'd like some advice on this as well.... and how to get to it. The drive belt was a pain....

SOURCE: Washing machine will not wring clothes out clothes

If the water in your washer has drained out but has not spun the clothes more than likely the motor coupling has broken. That is the component that connects the motor to the transmission. If the motor coupling is intact then it could either be a transmission problem or timer problem. After washing this machine goes into a neutral drain and it drains the water out for around 3 to 4 minutes after draining the timer will pause the motor allowing the transmission to shift into spin. So either the timer is not pausing or the transmission is not coming out of neutral drain. Probably the coupling though. Hope this helps

Hi - My Whirlpool washer appears to not use enough water. Don't get me wrong, I want the machine to use low water (that's why I bought a front loader, model: WFW97HEX). However, when I stop the...

Don't pause the cycle mid cycle. The machine uses the amount of water it needs to clean the amount of clothes that are in the tub. If you pause it after the first 7 or 8 minutes, you're already past the sensing part of the cycle and likely you won't get more water for the additional clothes.

Also, the clothes don't need to be soaking wet or wet enough to wring out. These new HE machines mix the detergent with water and then spray that detergent solution onto your clothes. Then the clothes against clothes rubbing with that solution already coating the clothes is how the machines clean better! It is a very similar process to when you pretreat your clothes with Shout of Spray and Wash. You spray the clothes and then rub the short against itself. Now the Whirlpool machines are doing this for you!

The spin cycle on my washing machine is not working, the clothes are still wet when the cycle is finished

Make sure that the clothes are not too heavy ( jeans and sweats ), and put in the machine evenly. If the machine is off balance, it won't spin fast enough to wring out the clothes.

My clothes will not spin to wring out the water

Clutch is bad, Control Panel Bad, or Motor Control Board bad. Usually the clutch you can get a new clutch online fron an appliance parts dealer there are several so shop around. INSIDE THE BACK COVER IS THE OWNERS MANUAL remove a few screws and get it. This will help aid you in self repair of MAYTAG :( I finally gave up and bought an old standard machine and I have no worries or problems with my washing machine, no stinky drum or clothes, no break downs, and no half washes. I ll never buy another high end washer set again, never.

My washer doesn't wring the clothes fully.

It's not spinning fast enough because of a loose or worn belt on the motor. Post back with your model number and I may can find a diagram of your washer to help you.

It sounds like you need a water pump!
See if it's pumping water next time you do load by looking at the discharge hose going to the drainage pipe and get back to me!
