Check where the hose goes on the machine there should be a screen in the connection that is probably dirty. take it out and clean it with a wire brush. Also take the gun off the hose and see if water comes out then. If so the gun has to be cleaned.

IE error code. Any more ideas??

Hello Pete Glover,

According to LG lots of similar problems...

Too much water pressure won't do that... Just the opposite.

LG says you have a water flow issue, kinked line... valve mostly closed... or possibly frozen lines or heavy usage ...

Simply NOT getting sufficient water in to meet cycle requirements

(Mine was caused by a broken water line in our green-house
hogging all the available water pressure (had a full on swamp going and didn't know it)).

Happy hunting

Whirlpool Washing Machine F20 Error code explained and resolution

<span><span><span>"F20" is a <b>No Water Detect error</b>.It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. If the pressure switch has not tripped after 6 minutes, the error code is displayed. This can be a potential problem with the following: <br /></span></span></span><br /> <br /> <ol> <li><b>Check that there are no obstructions to the water entering the machine (faucet setting, clogged screen, kinked hose, etc</b>.) </li> <li><b>Remove the top cover and check the resistances of the inlet water valves and and flowmeter</b>.</li> <li><b>Check that the flowmeter has been installed properly - with the rounded section vertically oriented</b>.</li> <li><b>Check out the drain hose</b>. An improperly installed drain hose can result in 'siphoning' if the drain hose tip is in contact with water (or if a pressure issue exists within the drain). That water may be siphoned out of the hose resulting in this F20 error.</li> <li><b>Pull the hose out of the drain pipe and see if the tip is wet</b>.</li> <li><b>If so, add more hose</b>. You can do this with PVC pipes.</li></ol> In case of a problem or clarification or my solution was insufficient, don't hesitate to post me a reply.<br /> <br /> If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

On Duet Front Loader- Error code F/H. Can see plenty of water coming in so I suspect pressure switch. Is this a common problem? I don't quite understand your pressure switch check procedure in your...

This error code F/H tells that no water entering the machine is detected during the fill step of the wash cycle. It can be due to siphoning, pressure switch not tripping or stuck in the empty position, or the water flow meter is not reading the correct water flow. Make sure that no water is draining out of the drain hose due to siphoning as water fills in and position the end of the hose to prevent such condition.

The pressure switch is stuck and not tripping if after 8 minutes the water flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it but the control has not detected the pressure switch trips. The water valves are then turned off and the error code is flashed. The error code is also flashed if after 30 seconds the water valves are turned on and no water is detected entering the machine due to sticking flow meter pinwheel or the flow meter is not positioned properly.

The flow meter is position sensitive. The pinwheel must be installed vertically. Any canter to it may cause the wheel to stick. Many times the F/H error code pops up only when HOT water passes through the flow meter. The hot water may be softening the hoses on either side of the meter, causing the flow meter to canter. Stuck or cantered pinwheel affects the flow meter's ability to read water flow accurately. Disconnect the hoses from the flow meter then blow air into the inlet to free a possible stuck pinwheel. Replace the flow meter if the pinwheel is totally stuck and cannot be freed.

Check the pressure hose for possible kinks or air leaks if the flow meter pinwheel is positioned vertically and turning freely. Kinks and air leaks in the pressure hose prevents pressure built up in the pressure switch dome and the pressure switch cannot trip. Check the pressure hose including its connections to the pressure switch and the bottom of the tub. Blow air into the pressure hose to clear possible clogs or kinks and check it for air leaks. Also blow air into the pressure switch dome to free a possible pressure switch contacts welded or stuck in the empty position. You should hear the pressure switch clicks if it is tripping. Replace the pressure switch if not tripping and the pressure hose has no kinks or air leaks.

I have an amana dms 90904cms furnace ..the fan runs but no heat. I opened cover and saw the red led blinking 3 times code says open pressure switch. what does that mean?

Open pressure switch is when your vent motor comes on it has to get a certain vacuum pressure or it won't ignite furnace. There should be some little black hoses connected to vent motor and maybe into heat exchanger, running to these pressure switches. Pull hose off one end and make sure hoses are not kinked or some times if hoses have sag in them they can fill with water. Other causes are if venting is obstructed or pressure switch is defective, especially if it got moisture in it.

My iwd7145 washing machine is flashing "h20" during it's washing cycle. What is wrong?

It means there is a problem with the incoming water supply.
Check water supply and water pressure, check hose/s for restrictions or kinks.
Check filter on inlet valve where the hose connects to.

Does not give a continous high pressure flow cuts in and out

that is sure signal of insufficient water supply!

try easy solution first:
make sure that your mains is fully open, that tap on whihc hose is hook up is fully open and hose is of "decent" diameter to allow sufficient flow.

if above solution do not work then you need to make another, more difficult arrangement:
prepare 20litres pressure tank with inlet connected to mains and outlet by short hose to power washer, fill it with water from mains, keep it under mains pressure and use karcher power washer normaly. this will solve water supply problem. twenty litres will last about 2min, because it is re-filled, under standard pressure therefore it will last about 3min...

third possibility is to stop washing...

if you find my advice helpfull, please do not hesitate to left the comment and vote for me, thanx!

Power Washer has no pressure, any ideas

1. If you have an inlet chemical injection valve make sure that the hose is intact and that the valve is closed.
2. Purge all air from the line by holding the nozzle actuation lever open until all air has been purged. When you connect the water supply hose turn it on before connecting the high pressure hose and let the unit self purge to the pump outlet high pressure hose fitting. Then connect the high pressure hose.
3. You could have a stuck spring and ball inside the high pressure head of the pump. You can tip the unit on its' side and add a substantial amount of WD-40 to the water supply hose fitting in an attempt to free the springs and balls.
4. Try BRIEFLY running the unit without the hose connected to see if there is high pressure water ejected from the high pressure fitting.
5. Inlet water screen at hose connection is clogged (hose screen and rubber) Check screen for debris.
6. The water strainer is clogged. (Almost looks like an LPG regulator just after but in line of the supply hose connection to the pump)

Order of troubleshooting

1, 2, 5, 6, 4, then 3.

Stay in high flats 4up low water pressure is there away of reducing the pressure in the hotpoint wt 540 washing machineso it will take in te water

If your water pressure is to high or even to low then just check the taps at back where hoses are fitted. Make sure they are fully open if pressure is to low, also make sure there are no kinks jn the pipes. If pressure is to high then just turn taps down a little.

Water keeps going and overflows

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly

You will have to open the top panel for steps below

Water level control is handled by the water level pressure switch inside the top panel. It is about 3.25 inches in diameter, has 3 wires connected to it and a hose that looks like a small vacuum line.

Check that vacuum looking line for any holes, kinks or disconnects.

You will need about 3 feet of the same knid of line available from any autoparts store for this test.

Remove the machine side hose and connect the 3 ft hose you just obtained. DO NOT drop the machine hose into the machine.

Place the timer on the wash cycle and start the cycle
Result = fill

Force air into the hose orally until you hear a click.
Result = fill stop agitation begin

If it does not pass this test then the pressure switch is bad.

If water never stops flowing the water inlet valve has debris internally and will probably have to be replaced.

Don't forget to reconnect the machine side hose to the pressure switch.

Thanks for using FixYa!

Then remove the vacuum

Not making ice

The kink in the hose should not have caused anything to burn out. There are no pumps in the fridge - normal water pressure is sufficient.

There's a pair of solenoid valves in the back - one for the icemaker and one for the water dispenser. They operate independently but are usually built into a single assembly. If the electro-magnetic coil is burned open on one or both of them, then you need to replace the valve assembly.

Another possibility is frozen water in the line.
