Corrupt files? recently, my little sister put a rechargable battery into my mp3 player. when she gave it back to me, i changed the battery back to a normal one and asked her how it played. she said it did fine. soon after, i attempted to play it and got error messages, and a blank line all the way across my screen, i tried to both add and delete files from the folder, but it said the folder was corrupt, error, etc. when i try to listen to the songs on it, they skip, and jump as if they were in fast forward. how can i fix this?

Possible there is something wrong with the file system of your MP3 player.
Try updating the firmware of it or possibly reformatting it like back to it's Defaults settings and try to see if the issue will be different.
seems that the File system may have gotten corrupted somehow when the old batteries were replaced.
Also try removing the batteries then press and hold down the power button maybe for 5-10 second to do a power drain on the unit then put the batteries back in and turn it ON again to see.

Mp3 wont work

If the file system is corrupted, you have put files into the wrong folders.
To fix it, simply copy over all of your files from the mp3 player to your computer, format the mp3 player, then synch the files back onto it.

let your battery run out by leaving you mp3 player play as long as it can....then open up the back of the mp3 player take out the battery and put the battery a freezer for an out or 2 then let it sit out for a day then put it back in the sansa and recharge it and it should either fix it or help add more life span to the charge

Stuck music on SanDisk m240

Thanks for the Problem well your problem is that you are trying to Transfer your music from the MP3 Player to the Computer which you need to do. As far as deleting your Songs and things like that there is no need. Which you need to do is always try to back up your Music. That is why a lot of people with there MP3 Players always have there players freeze or be corrupted due to being not having your Music backed up regularly

Won't power up

There could be due to a corrupted file, let us try to "Format" your device. Formatting will delete any existing corruptions in your MP3 player. To format your MP3 player, please do the following steps: Note: Formatting your MP3 player will delete all the files in your device, I suggest that you create a back-up copy of your files from your MP3 player to your computer. 1. Put the Hold switch ON, it's located at the side of the MP3 player (orange color should be visible). 2. Plug the MP3 player in your computer without the battery. 3. After it has been recognized by the computer, please open "My Computer". 4. Your device should appear as a "Removable drive" with an assigned Drive Letter (Ex: "D", "E" or "F"). 5. Right click on your Sansa MP3 player then select "Format". 6. On the format pop-up page, select "FAT" for the file system. 7. Click on ok/start. If you can't format your MP3 player at your computer. Please try it on a different computer. Note: If your MP3 player has a Firmware version 3.x and below please try the steps below: Also your MP3 player may have encountered temporary power loss. This issue usually happens when there is a failure of power going directly through the system of the MP3 player from the battery. Let's try to power-cycle your MP3 player. To power-cycle your MP3 player, please do the following steps: 1. Take the battery out of the player. 2. Hold the "Power/Menu" button for 30 seconds without the battery. 3. Try powering on the device. 4. Please try these steps for 3 times. I hope these steps help you resolve your problems regarding your SanDisk product. This is what sansa sent me when I had a similar problem. Good Luck!

Won't play the songs i put into my sansa e250

You might have to take the product back because you might of corrupted it. I corrupted mine just recently and I had the same problem. If you decide to get another one, don't unplug the MP3 before it's done saving.
