Did you configured the Hard drive jumpers correctly?
Was the original HD set to master or Cable select?
if so please set your new hard drive to the same jumper settings as the old one.

My computer cannot find new hard drive disk . my hdd is western 80 ide

Make sure that the IDE channel you are using is turned on in the BIOS. In the optipled line, you press either delete or F2 to enter the bios when the computer is first powered on. If you're adding a HDD, the bios must be set to look for the hard drive. If you're replacing the hard drive, let the BIOS recognize the drive - save the changes and then reboot.

Compaq presario sr1800nx won't turn on

Check the jumper settings on the DVDRW. Depending on IDE location, you need to set the jumpers accordingly. If you have the main system hard drive on the same IDE channel as the DVDRW, set the jumpers on the DVDRW to slave, if that don't work, set them to Cable Select. I'm assuming it's an IDE drive and not SATA.

No Hard Disc found after crash

Compaq uses F10 at boot to initiate the recovery program resident on the hard drive partition normally called "Recovery". If you cannot initiate the hard drive at boot then press F1 to get to setup and see if the hard drive is recognized there. If it is not then you will have to troubleshoot the hard drive.
If you have another laptop to try the hard drive out or a laptop to IDE hard drive adapter  (cheap) to connect to a desktop computer as a slave drive you will either verify that the hard drive is bad or it is good and a boot sector problem is at hand. Also if you can get the drive recognized as a slave drive you can either rescue data or format the drive.
These are preliminary steps so post again when you have more information. Steve Medley
