The water pressure/level switch contacts are welded together, usually the load selector switch for the amount of water lets it fill to a determined water level and the water level creates pressure in a tube from the tub to this switch and stops water fill and starts the wash agitation cycle, replace this switch inside the control panel

Remove the hoses which provide the washer with water. Check to make sure they are not clogged. At the back of the washer where the hoses connect there are screens. Check them to make sure they are clear also.

Kicking out water during wash cycle - spin instead of agitation

Hi,
Try these

  1. Check the drain hose, it should be at least as high as the top of the wash tub, about 38 inches.
  2. The drain hose must sit loosely in the house drain. Do not seal the air gap around the drain hose or a siphon will occur.
  3. Check the drain control lever
  4. Test the drain control coils
  5. Check the cam bar

Chances are either:1) the water pressure switch has failed or 2) the hose that connects to the air bell has debris in it and it will not allow the switch to reset

Washer not filling up with water at beginning of cycle.

Don't replace anything. You will need to clean out the tube which connects the water level switch to the tub. (or replace that tube)
