How do I change my computer monitor to 1680 x 1050?

First right-click on the desktop and then left click on Properties from the menu that appears.

The display properties dialogue box will appear as shown in fig. below, click on the settings tab at the top right of the box.

xp-screen-resolution-1.gif

The areas worth noting are: google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad); Screen Resolution
This slide bar is what you use to change the resolution, the options you have will depend on your graphics card and monitor, but the standard options are 800x600, 1024x768 and 1152x864.

Normally the default (in XP) is set to 800x600 which means the display will be 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high.

Color Quality
This pull down box will contain the current colour options available, again this will depend on your grahics card and monitor, for best results select the highest option available.
Changing the ResolutionTo change your resolution simply slide the bar along to the resolution of your choice and then click the Apply button.

After clicking Apply your screen will resize to the new resolution and you will be presented with a confirm dialogue box, if you are happy with the way your screen looks then simply click Yes, if you would like to try a different resolution click No.

When you have finished simply close the Display properties box.

Can't see 1440x900 resolution in display settings. in LG w1942s

go into the refrash rate and change it to something other than what it is you may need to go up or down it depents on the manufacture settings. also they may say the monitor can do it but it cannot do it, drivers are a big factor also.

right click, select the vedio card options, software option for the card, or properties, display options

control panal, open up personalization, diplay settings, advance setting, choose the best option for your needs.

Display problem after Format

Hi, my name is Alex and im here to help sort your problem out.

It sounds to me like you need to change the herts configuration of the monitor and also the resolution you have your monitor set to. It should be set by default to 60 herts. Also, the resolution is best set at 1024 x 768. To set these, you need to right click anywhere on the desktop and click properties

To change the reolution.

Click start, configuration, display. Slide the cursor until you display 1024 x 768

To change the herts.

Click start, configuration, display, advanced options, monitor and make sure it is set to 60 herts.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you experience more problems.
