Question about Grohe Home

Open Question

My single post Grohe kitchen faucet/ sprayer is "hung up "....cannot pull the handset out more than an inch or so. I looked under sink...the two water lines and flex metal sprayer hose ( has a recoil spring around it) go through a plastic flange/fitting up into the unit. I tried wiggling it....pushing up on it from beneath but it will not budge. Unit was installed new about 12 years ago and has never been a problem. Should I call plumber?? Seems like a simple problem but do not want to damage unit. Thank you.

There should be an o-ring on the mating surfaces of the hose and the faucet that my be missing.  It could also me that the big washer in side of the faucet (under the cartridge) has been shifted.
I doubt it is the cartridge itself, always try the cheap ideas first.

There could be a clog anywhere between the diverter and the sprayer. Sometimes the line collapses from age and has to be replaced. Look under the sink to check for leaks.

Drips from Grohe pull out sprayer

I would say that there is dirt under the sprayer gasket.or diverter. the gasket may be cracked. easiest solution is to go to a plumbing supplier with the sprayer and replace it.

I pulled the sprayer out and it will not go back into place. How can I get it back into place?

The flex hose for the sprayer can be seen under the sink. It may be hung up on a pipe or other object. As long as there is nothing broken on the sprayer you should be able to ease it back into place by gently applying a "pulling" pressure on the sprayer hose under the sink.

Pull out sprayer has a plastic nut to tighten under countertop. You should be able to reach underneath and hold the top while tighting the bottom.

It designed to be tighten by hand to avoid damaging.

Replace button on pull-out sprayer

With your faucet in the off position pull the sprayer out. Unscrew the hose that connects to the sprayer. This lets you take the sprayer to someplace where you can sit down. The front of the sprayer where the water comes out unscrews as well. You may need to use a nonslip mat or a piece of rubber but you can undo this by hand. Once you have this off a small piece (airator) can come out that helps control water flow into a steady stream instead of the way water comes out of a garden hose with no nozzle. form here you'll be able to see how the old button fits into the sprayer, pop it out and replace with the new one. Assemble in reverse.
