SOURCE: my video board is bad

hello mycar..the biggest problem i have found on late tvs is that you can get some service repair manuals and schematics but they do not give you anything on the major boards like the vid ..x&y boards ..logic board .i have a plasma that the vid board is faulty to and cannot get any info on it .maybe it is because they dont want to fix them..some sets are rebadged brands .try putting your model no in and see what may come up.it could possibly be lg boards in it .if so you may stand a chance..

SOURCE: power supply bad on Sharp Aquos LC - bad board - schematic to ID?

Buy the green light going on means Standby is ok. Next, would be to locate the plug coming from the main board to the power supply and find the post that says PO which means power on. With your meter on that post, press the power button as see if the reading goes High, if it does then the main board is able to turn on the power supply. Next, find the plug on the power supply that goes to the inverter( the long board on the side) remove it and see if you have 24 volts coming out of the power supply when you press the power. If you do, then the inverter board is bad, if you don't have 24 v, then the power supply is bad. There are NO diagrams available for these set other than a flow chart if you can find one. A regular svc tech does'nt need a manual for these anyway.

Let me know how you do Kathy ?

The DC/DC converter went out on your set. When you take the top off of your AVC box look for a 4" X 5" circuit board mounted on the front left corner. I have seen these fail causing you white screen. Order the part from your local Sharp service center. Part # RDENCA089WJZZ

bryansled is 100% correct. I had the same problem, and was told by the repair shop it would cost about $500 and it was probably better to buy a new TV set. I was skeptical at first because the part costs about 150 bucks. That's a lot of money if it doesn't work. But I figured WTF, just try it. Easy to install and it worked right away. Bryansled, I can't thank you enough.

Sharp Aquos LC45GX6U & TU-GD10U. The unit doesn't power up, and has a red blinking light from the moment you plug it in. The unit works fine in service mode.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

Te 522 error EE

EE stands for Energy Efficient. The problem could be:

1) a bad thermostat 2) inadequate ventilation (blockage) 3) a bad controller board if the unit does not come on following this display.

The manufacturer pretty much decides what these specific codes mean. You might have to contact them.

My microwave is showing EE on the control panel and then stopping what could cause this

Hi.

If the microwave was built by LG, then error EE means "EEprom Failure".

The eeprom is a memory chip built into the oven electronic control board. The error usually means that the electronic board must be replaced. In some case the alluminium insulation foil that protects the board must also be replaced. A radiation leakage test must be done after carrying the repair. The repair must be performed by a technician.

Regards.

Error code on keypad EE L before screen went out. What does it mean.

Hi

Error code EE means temperature sensor issue. This error appears when the oven temperature turns bad or when a high temperature is detected by the sensor. Try and unplug the range for 1-2 hours and check if this clears the error. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

I have a Sharp LC-45GX6U Display & TU-GD10U-T AVC box, and only get a white screen on the display. I've been told that I can bypass the AVC box altogether, and just go to the dispay via HDMI. What...

I too have the same problem with the DC-DC board on the Sharp AVC. But I didn't spend the $134 for a replacement board (MCM or Newark).
Instead, I used the reflow technique by placing the circuit board in the oven for 7 minutes at 475F. You need to cover the plastic header connectors (about 7 of them) with foils to protect them from direct heat (and melt). Take the board out of the oven and give a little pressure on all the ICs while the board is hot. Let it cool down and voila! The TV is working again...

Flash pops up and clicks. shows low battery. batteries new

Unfortunately, the reason of such failure means that the internal electronics are defective or damaged.

Reason for it, it may be humidity or mositure damage (or water damage) on the printed board circuits, or damaged devices in any of the printed board circuits (DC/DC converter board or the main board).

You will need to send it to a Camera repair service center for diagnostics and quote.

Good luck and best regards,

My Canon power shot S2 IS does not detect the batteries

There is a battery charge level sensor in the DC/DC internal converter board.

It seems that just started to fail such board.

You can try with other brand or type of AA batteries.

If still you have the same problem, you will need to have replaced the DC/DC converter board on your camera. This means a Camera repair shop service on it.
