Question about HP Tablets & eReaders
I ran into the same problem, I had to take it apart and use a pen torch, heat up the gpu chip. I would apply heat to it by holding the flame about 3 inches away pointing at it. I did this about 4 times for 3 seconds at a time.
The problem is, this has a known overheating issue. And the chip gets hot enough to seperate the solder from the chip. So this fix is really a temp fix, to allow you to backup your data or you can just replace the motherboard. (As of today 1019-12 on ebay they go for about $165usd)
