Hi hag1985 ,

Have you tried turning off the speakers and then back on?

If that does not work, try unplugging every wire and reinstall them once again from begging being carefull all cables are once again being plugged in proper.

Pioneer VSX 1020K - Zone 2 Setup

I referred to a similar zone 2 arrangement for a Yamaha receiver. It shows a separate amplifier and notes that only analog signals are sent to zone 2. The analog output from a source must be connected to the analog input on your Pioneer unit for zone 2 to work. Your outdoor music environment will be limited to left and right front speakers and...alas...no surround

If you haven't done already, then verify that zone 2 works without the selector. If the speakers definitely work and the zone output definitely works then the speaker selector must be the culprit! It's pretty difficult to mess up the wiring with speakers, as even if polarity is reversed, you will still hear something.

Hi, I bought a house with some Niles HD 6 speakers and need to move them down the wall to install a new cabinet. I can't work out how to remove them from the wall to install them lower?

First remove the wire mesh grill with a curved pin or lever it out with a sharp kitchen knife. Then you will notice four black screws very close the groove into which the grill fits.Using a correct size + screwdriver unscrew all the four screw anticlockwise till you feel the whole speaker panel shake loose. Make sure somebody is holding the outer frame while you are doing it or it might suddenly fall. The are red and black spring clip connectors for the speaker wires. Disconnect them foe removing the speakers completely.

Purchased 2 used sonance sonamp 260 for homewide speaker system (12 pair).line out from receiver into first amp powering first 8 pair.line out from first amp into second amp powers remaining 4pair.only...

I am assuming you are using the standard sonamp 260 not a 260x3
and that when you say you are getting sound on only 1 pair that means only on 1 side (left or right channel only?)

Are using a speaker selector box? you must to regulate the resistance (ohms)

if so first unhook all but on pair of speakers and see if both channels are working.

if they do your problem is in the speaker selector not the amp if no then check to see what the amp level is set to. These are the two small holes on the front right of amp make sure they are set about equal at around half way up.

If that doesn't work flip the RCA cables coming to the amp perhaps you have a bad cable if that doesn't work make sure your receiver (source) is outputing a stereo signal to begin with.

lastly 8 sets of speakers off 1 amp? that's pushing it.even with a high quality Niles or speakercraft selector that controls the resistance going to an amp I wouldn't go past 5 sets.

The right way to do it would be to use 260x3 or a sonance or speakercraft 12 channel amp.

Sonance 275 no getting sound to speakers

The Sonamp 275 has Signal LEDs on the front panel, above the Volume pots. If signal is present at the RCA inputs, the Signal LEDs will be blinking.
Most likely, there isn't any line level audio signal coming from the receiver. Hook RCAs to Tape Output or MD output and check system using the Tuner which is an analog signal.

Use the niles for more than one speaker hookup. As far as the sub hookup, use a powered sub with speaker inputs
then use the right or left speaker and tag a couple wires to the sub. Good Luck

Stopped consistently producing sound

Try plugging and unplugging a pair of headphones. The headphone jack in these receivers are flaky and sometimes think there are headphones hooked up even when there isn't. Full repair would require the headphone jack to be replaced. If you don't use headphones at all, you can take the top cover off and unplug the cable going to the headphone jack board and eliminate the problem that was as well.
