No current but light is on in dryer but not on dials.

your dryer is 220 volts. that will have two 110 lines going into it
one of the lines is for the motor & heating grid only
The other line runs the rest

Kenmore elec dryer runs but won't heat up

Can be several problems: the heat element (coil) can be burned out, one of the over-heat sensors could be bad or overheated and did not reset ( this could be caused by poor air movement through the vent ) check your venting for good air flow. Could be a wiring connection that burned and needs repair because of the hi electric current demaned by the heat element. Goodluck, Macgivor

The fuse for the heat keeps blowing but dryer runs

if its an old round buss fuse that screws in the panel(especially an old 60 amp panel),sometimes the center where the fuse lands the insulation gets weak in this area and lets it arc over when the dryer calls for current to heat the element replace this with a sub box and breaker set-up.the other thing it can be is the element is touching the units case and grounding out causing the same problem

Kenmore dryer makes no heat

replace the heating element. Or the control panel has weakening capacitor not sending correct current flow to the heating element

Kenmore series 80 gas dryer will not heat up

Hi. this dryer has a set of coils that sit on top of the actual gas valve assembly. these coils activate the main and secondary gas valves and if the coil assembly is malfunctioning or, the wires and clips are corroded, the coils will not activate the gas valves to open and close. this malfunction will affect the heating process within this dryer unit.

I recommend inspecting the dryer coil assembly. use a mulitimeter to test for Resistance. you should get a reading of some type of current flow through the wires and, if this is the case, the coils are bad and they will need to be replaced.

This test is actually not needed. the non existing heat is a red flag on its own and, it greatly confirms a major failure within the coil assembly. replacing the coils will fix your dryer.

PLease rate and god bless:)

On heat in dryer

Bad coil/may be your 220V is tripped,so reset your breaker and re try dryer. The dryer will run on half the power. The other half supplies the current to the heating coil.I'll be happy to help you through this.
