Duce, how much memory (RAM) do you have.when a computer gets slow it have to little memory.is it a 32x the computer can only take 4 GB memory.is it a 64x ca:8-12.so i suggest you upgrade the memory and look over if you use the programs you got uninstall them never used and only rarely used. http://www.wisecleaner.com/ here do yo find a good cleanigprogram.
A slow computer could be
caused by a number of things -
RAM (memory) - if your computer has less than 512Mb of RAM then increase it to
at least 1Gb of RAM.
problems - clean and repair the registry, it will contain unused registry keys.
Use programs such as Registry Mechanic, Microsoft RegClean etc.

enough hard disk space - swap file space may need to be increased if Windows
hasn't been configured to manage it.

disk maintenance is required at least once a month to keep it functioning
the following programs - Disk Cleanup -

your problem is that your computer is very slow and you have upgraded your
memory to the maximum, then you should concentrate on cleaning up and
optimising the Windows file system.
Download and install the following utility programs that can help you to improve
the performance of your computer.
Advanced System Care
Free - run the Deep Care option of this utility. DiskMax - run a
Detailed Scan and let it clean up all profiles, updates, cache etc. Smart Defrag - run a
Defrag and Fast Optimize CCleaner - use this to
compliment the above plus use the Tools Uninstall option to remove any unwanted
software programs, browser tool bars etc. Also use the Tools Startup option to
disable any of the programs being started on every boot that don't need to be,
i.e. things like QuickTime, Adobe Reader.
Registry is accessed by almostall the installed programs and your operating system itself. Why is computerslow and freezing has to do with the fragmented registry data. You have todownload a PC Optimizer software that includes Registry Defragmenter tool suchas Reginout to perform system maintenance tasks.

1. Click Start ' Control Panel. 2. Click Programs ' Uninstall a Program. 3. Select a program to remove. 4. Click Uninstall button. 5. Follow the wizard. 6. Reboot the computer after completion.

Storing junk entries in theregistry makes your computer slow and freezing. You have to delete such junkentries using a Registry Cleaner and PC Optimizer software.
The question is whether Vista is slow or the Internet. Vista needs to be cleaned if you do not have a good cleaning software program I advise this one for simply cleaning of files that are no longer needed left over installations etc, and it cleans the registry and allows you to see startup programs and other things that prevent computer slow downs. Be sure to also if you decide not to download the free cleaner program that you go to start-run-then type in msconfig and select any programs in the startup other than antivirus and click on disable for now. If when you restart your computer does fine then go ahead and repeat the process and select delete this time, this will increase performance considerably. Click Here to download ccleaner it is free. Thanks for using FixYa! please post a comment if this assisted you in any way. Also gather all of your files personal you want to keep and save them to disk or a USB stick or an external source. This will free up the hard disk.
Now in relations of the router since this is question is applied to the router section. Unplug the router and turn of the computer. Wait about 25 to thirty seconds restart them both. The Internet connection is determined by your service and has nothing to do with being slow unless your computer is bogged down or does not have enough memory or a good graphics card as well. Upgrade these and check hard drive space delete unwanted programs also. One other suggestion is to upgrade to Win 7 Vista is quirky to say the least. If you do not have the memory or other resources to run Win 7 I would consider Win XP even know they are closing out their updates it is less draining on your computers resources.
