Have you tried sewingpartsonline.com? Also, I am not sure what you mean by the 1/4" . Also, my first Viking machine was a cam model and all the presser feet that I had for that machine will work on the Fressia 425. However, the 425 will go 6 mm width and the old cam machine was considerably less. So I can't use the full 6 mm width with the old feet. If you can't find the foot on sewingpartsonline.com any Viking dealer should be able to get the foot for you.

Do you mean a presser foot to sew rolled hem or shell hem edges?
11_15_2011_1_23_35_am.jpg
If so, the Bernina website lists the accessories here:http://www.bernina.com.au/product_detail-n25-i61-sEN.html

Bernina feet 68 and 69 are rolled hem/shell, just different widths. However, I think the feet for the Activa are the new 3 digit numbered feet? I know there is the old style and new style attachment system for Bernina feet, if you look at the presser feet you got with the machine, they will have a code on the front of the foot; buy any new feet with same code format.

As to where to buy, I always start with the manufacturer/distributor in my country first. So start with www.bernina.com, go to your country, then "contact us" page and give the local office a call. They should be able to confirm the exact foot code you need and sell it to you or direct you to a local dealer who can.

I own a freesia 425 & I bought a gathering foot. How do I use it? Where do I put the settings?

not knowing whether you have a Viking foot, I'm not sure how to advise you. Suggest you visit an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for assistance. They are usually eager to help. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

Good luck.

Hello, My fresia 425 seems to have broken the the thread tension plate(little silver piece), it will not tighten on the thread and is basically hanging there loose. How doI open the body to get to it? I do...

The chances of your 425 having a broken steel tension plate are incredibly small. Chances are you just have some thread jammed up in it, keeping the discs from closing. Turn the dial to Zero and use a needle and dig up in the discs to try to free the jammed threads. The discs loosen when you put the presser foot in the up position so lift the foot and turn the dial to Zero making the discs as loose as possible. If you have a can of air, blast the air between the disc to also try to loosen the jam.

Just bought a Husqvarna 5710, and found out that it did not have a power cord, or foot pedal. Do I need to buy replacement products specific to the model, or are there universal models that would work?...

You will need to buy power cord and foot pedal specific to your model. You can have an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer order these for you. A listing of authorized dealers is available on the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Also you could try ebay but be careful that you know what you are buying. Other 3rd party vendors are:

Bernina Buttonhole foot #3A

Hi, you must have an 1130S which means it could also be a circuitboard issue. If the LED/LCD light for the buttonholer does not flash you either need a new RET-Print (circuitboard) or a new buttonhole foot. Sorry to say that you DO more than likely need a new buttonhole foot according to my manual on this machine. No way to repair the foot that I know of.
You should bring the machine in and try it first.
Guess not all news is good news. Sorry.

Foot pedal dead, machine keeps sewing!

There is no suppressor in the foot control of a 425. Only the control unit, which may need to be replaced. If the machine accelerates to full speed, it may have a problem with the "stop right" board which tells the machine whether to stop with the needle up.
You could have several problems, so go see a qualified Husqvarna repairman. You may contact Husqvarna customer service to locate the best one in your area.

How to put on presser foot "p" to embroider

Not shure you can embroider on an MC4000, i think this is only a sewingmachine.

But to change presser fot:

If it a "snap on" foot, when foot lifted, press the "button" on the back of the needle bar (on the bottom) this would release the presser foot.

If is a large foot, you have to unscrew the screw on the left side of the needlebar, and change the whole foot.
