The machine relies on water pressure to close the valve when not in use. In low pressure areas, this doesn't happen. Change the valve and take out the high pressure limiter (in the valve itself, looks like a small thimble of mesh)

Washer fills all the time even with the plug disconected from the wall. You have to turn the water off. The model# is wsxh208v1ww

You need to either clean out the water valve or better yet replace it. The water valve is the part where the fills hoses connect to the machine. Hope this helps.

My washing machine is a hotpoint WF240. It started to overflow with water and spilling onto floor. We pulled it out from wall and found outgoing pump had fallen down, we put it back where it was supposed...

The machine will fill with it connected to the Electrical supply then stop if unplugged providing the fill valves/ water is okay....If it keeps on filling after unpluged then sounds like faulty fill valve,if on the other hand it fills without stopping when plugged in then its your air hose or Pressure switch at fault,Good luck

Bunn vpr steams everything out fill hole and nothing comes through copper tube, even after cleaning tube and head.

Fill water tank until water comes out from sprayhead, THEN plug it in it should be OK.

IF the machine keeps blowing steam/keeps boiling the water, The thermostat is defective and must be replaced.

NOTE: If you don't use the machine for a couple days, UNPLUG IT. The water will evaporate if you don't unplug it.

The dryer starts fine but the motor doesnt even start when i try to use the washer.

If it fills with water it could be the fill switch, not sending a signal to the timer. If the timer isn't moving it could be the timer which sounds the most likely, I would need more information but these are great machines. If it is not filling with water check for water at valves or hoses and check for the power cord plug making sure it is still plugged in correctly.

Help! My fisher paykel washing machine won't stop filling up!

If the water continues to fill even if unplugged the water valve is sticking and needs replaced. if removing power turns the water off the water level pressure switch is bad or there is something plugging the sensor tube somewhere.

Water fills washer even when it is unplugged

Replace fill valve. It is located where the water hooks up to washer. Easy to change. The valve gets plugged with sediment and needs to be replaced.

Nespresso D300 says "Fill Water" even after I have filled container.

Even if you fill the tank with water, the machine will display this message when it is empty inside (the pipes, heating element, etc.) You need to prime it: run some water through it by running the steamer/hot water wand.  That should take care of it.
