Friend just bought and installed a 50 inch viera full hd plasma today in australia.
when watching cricket / football telecast the ball moving at speed across the screen "flickered" in appearance.
friend was dissapointed as he bought plasma inn preference to lcd becuase it was supposed to handle fast motion well.
Is tyhe flickering of the ball a common problom or is there a p[roblem with either the screen ior digital decoder ?

The noise reduction option will cause a blur on fast movement. Also, you probably already know this, but a standard definition broadcast will look very blurry on an HD TV, so make sure the channel you're watching is actually an HD channel.
Oh, wow, I just noticed that this is from October. Oh well, maybe you're still having problems.
This as called goasting, it will do this on most fast moveing obcects, it is caused by video compression, need to eather get a better cable, or have your signal checked.
Yes, you must get a HD box. Digital is not HD quality. You will use the hd inputs on the jack panel that are green = Y
blue = Pb
red = Pr
Audio will be Red & White ( L+R )
