You first need to ensure you have the correct driver for the net card. Go here and enter the model info of your laptop to find correct driver, then download it. Save to cd or thumb drive..
Also find (Google) cc cleaner and download the free version.
On the laptop, open the device manager. Right click on My Computer, choose properties, choose Device manager.
Be carefull here. Open the Network section, click on the + sign. May already be open with a yellow exclamation. Right click on the driver and delete it or remove it. If there is no driver, don't do anything. Exit.
Install the cc cleaner. Go to the registry part and run the cleaner. Save a backup first, then Delete/Fix all the problems it finds.
Copy the downloaded driver to your desktop. Shut down and restart the LT
If it asks you load a driver for network, answer no/skip/ignore. (It might just load automatically)
Open the downloaded driver and run install . Restart again and it should work if you downloaded the correct driver.
Good luck.
Make sure you downloaded the correct driver
