.It is possible for your refrigerator to work when your freezer does not. Refrigerator-freezer appliances have independent controls which can malfunction separately. If your refrigerator is fine but your freezer seems broken, there are several things that could be wrong.
Temperature Controls
This is one of the most common problems with freezers. The temperature may be set too high. Lower the temperature on the freezer's thermostat, usually located inside the door or at the back of the freezer. If this does not correct the problem, replace the thermostat.
Fan
The freezer fan, which circulates air over the cooling coils, may not be working. Locate the fan in the back of the freezer section, and check to see if something is keeping it from turning.
Condenser Coils
The condenser coils, located underneath or on the back of the appliance, get rid of heat. If they get dirty, the freezer may not be able to cool properly. Unplug the unit, and clean and inspect the coils.
Defrost Timer
The defrost timer may be stuck. This is usually located behind the front grill of the freezer or behind a cover plate inside the freezer. To test whether it is simply not advancing during cycles, unplug the appliance and turn the timer screw clockwise until you hear it click. Wait half an hour for the freezer to cycle to cooling mode. You should hear the compressor motor running. If it is not, replace the timer.
Door Seals
The freezer door seal may not be sealing correctly. To check, insert a dollar bill and close the door. When you try to pull the bill out, you should feel resistance. If it slides out easily, your freezer is probably not closed tightly and the seals need to be replaced

My Miele Fridge Freezer Keeps Beeping Although there is no issue, how do i remove the alarm?

I bet the light is also staying on inside even if the door is closed. There is a switch inside that turn the light on and off when the door is open. If the (Door Switch) is working then the light inside should shut off when the door is closed to save energy. It also tell the computer the door has been shut in case you forget then it will notify you. The switch may not be working. Look for a door with on ebay or sears. Need your model number and brand of the unit.

Alarm sounds on fridge, not cooling

is it a bottom mount machine, freezer on the bottom?if the door doesn't close all the way and the alarm is on this could be your problem, the warm air gets in and freezes up the air ducts.look on the ceiling of the freezer and on the lite,if there's ice or like snow there the door was left open.also check the inside back wall of the freezer, touch it and see if there's any ice or like snow on the inside back wall, you could have a defrost problem or like i said before the door could be stuck open, look for frozen water droplets on your food packages or on the ceiling of the freezer,if so shut down the machine, pull out the food in the freezer and with a hair dryer heat the back inside wall of the freezer for like 15 to 30 minutes, turn it on,if you can feel cold air blowing into the fridge section you should be fine, you might have a package or i've seen people install the door draw in backwards and the alarm will go off because the door isn't closing correctly.let me know what you find and where the alarm is coming from, the freezer or the fridge side.good luck and happy holidays to you.

Zanussi fridge freezer alarm keeps sounding

If the refrigerator and freezer are both working properly. Then the only problem would be the alarm, It's either the placement of the alarm thermometer or the alarm thermometer is stuck closed.

Both Lights flashing and fridge not getting cold

I turned the fridge and freezer off using the circular dials, I then turned the unit off at the mains. Left it for a few minutes and then turned the power back on. I then turned the circular dials to "max" and then depressed the super cool and super freeze buttons to turn this facility on. This time they came on normally (not flashing) and no alarm sounded. The fridge and freezer then started to get cold. Once the unit had been running for several hours I then turned the dials to the 3/4 mark and depressed the super cool and super freeze buttons again to turn them off. Over night the fridge and the freezer appear to be working properly so I hope that my problem is solved. Maybe the unit just needed to "settle" before being switched on?

Zanussi Electrolux frost free fridge/freezer - freezer defrosting

My husband left the freezer door open a couple of months ago, causing ice to form. The loud rattling noise was the fan hitting the ice. The reason why the temperature started to rise but the noise stopped was because the fan had got stuck in a block of ice and was no longer working. Simple solution - defrost the freezer for 24 hours. Touch wood, it is all working fine now!

My fridge makes loud popping noises and is over cold (freezing the things in the fridge & frosting up the freezer, when it is a frost free freezer)

Check in your owners manual for a "noise" section to see if you can identify the source. Refers make lots of unusual noises so it helps to understand if they are normal or not. Over cold in the fridge may be due to the air damper system being stuck open or food placed too close to the air duct outlet. Frost in the freezer can be due to moisture getting inside from a bad door seal, etc.
