If you need to finish the job, any oil is better than no oil, motor oil will do in the short term.
Hope we have been of some help.

Hi. Use any brand name bar and chain oil for your pole saw. Usually this oil is only sold by the gallon....so you may have quite a supply on hand. J.

Remington Pole Saw RPS2N1 takes what type of oil?

Amazingly I read the owner's manual online and there is no mention of what type oil to use. However, this is a chain saw, albeit and electric chain saw. Therefore it is reasonable to assume that you would use bar oil which you can purchase anyplace that sells chain saws. Just ask for chainsaw bar oil. If you want to clarify this call 1-800-858-8501.
