Make sure the PSP doesn't just have low battery. Leave it plugged in for @least 2 hours and then try it again. if it continues pull out the battery, press the power button, then put the battery back in and try turning it on.

if the problem STILL isn't fixed I would call Sony's Tech Support: http://esupport.sony.com/perl/contact-land.pl

Hi,

Take out the battery and put it back in after 30 seconds, or takingout the battery all together and just running off the AC power adapter, if boththese methods fail, then it is something wrong with the inner controls of yourPSP. Don't try and take out the battery while having your AC still plugged in.
Hope this helps, if you need any further assistance it would be better coming to chat here.

My psp green light comes on but no noise or any other response and no picture from the system

If your PSP green light comes on for a few seconds, then turns back off -- no audio, no video, the PSP is "bricked" (the system software is corrupted). This usually happens if the PSP is turned off in the middle of an update or if someone tries to downgrade it (or install custom firmware but fails). The following website will unbrick your PSP (rebuild the system software) for $29:

Psp turned off and now won't turn back on. Power light comes on green for about 15 seconds and then shuts off.

You have an internal error or it has been bricked. Call Sony and send it in for them to fix.

PSP will not turn on

Have you tried ejecting your battery pack? I've had a problem like this. But I don't recall the green light coming on for 15 seconds. Anyway, try ejecting the battery pack and putting it back in. If that doesn't work, then... I tried.

PSP Won't turn on

Try this>

Start with the PSP turned off. Press and hold the R button when your turning on the power. Turn it off again, then back on. Sometimes this works. If not, your PSP is probably Bricked.
This means that you done something to interupt an upload or program in progress. The eeprom program is corrupted and the PSP will not boot up. The term Bricked, refers to your PSP being no better than a black Brick paper weight. I have heard of a repair for this called Pandoras Battery. I am not sure if the Pandoras battery really works to restore Bricked PSP's. It may be worth a try for you to take a chance on Pandoras Battery.
