Question about Philips SPARK Battery

1 Answer

Hey there When for the first time, i connected my Philips Spark 4GB to my pc's USB, there was nothing in it's display screen and it couldn't be charged. I removed it and tried more. "No changes at all" Decided to let it be in USB for a few minutes then i removed it and turned it on and a low battery caution appeared and after that i hadn't any problem with charging and transfering data. Everything was good 'till the battery became empty, after that my Spark become a useless toy. It won't charge and won't turn on either. Please Help

Try a different USB port. Leave it on for several hours. They sometimes say 12 hours for the first charge. If it still doesn't charge it is defective. Return it.

Get a small object like a paper clip and use the edge to stick into the small reset button on the side next to the usb connection

Caution: this would reset and fix the problem, but you might loose the data

You may also try removing the battery..through this you wont loose data

hi,
the problem could be that the philips 4gb player is not charging properly.
the jack could be loose, try connecting the jack with the charge chord and confirm that it goes all the way.
also try resetting the philips 4gb player. this should solve the problem.
cheers

It won't connect to my PC, says driver not found

If the volume + method didn't work, then there is some feature about your PC config that is not going to work with this player. you can try the FAQ method on Philips website for when the PC is not recognizing the player, but I've never seen a case where it was successful.

My Creative Zen 4GB MP3 Player is just not turning On

I had the exact same issue and this is how i fixed it.
go to the zen website and download the latest drivers.

  1. Turn off your player.
  2. Disconnect your player from your computer.
  3. Press and hold the Play/Pause button. Continue to hold the button while you perform steps 4 and 5. If you accidentally release the button, start the procedure again.
  4. Gently push a straightened paper clip into the Reset hole.
  5. Slide the On/Off switch towards the USB port and hold until the display lights up. The Recovery Mode screen appears with four options: Clean Up, Format All, Reload Firmware, and Reboot.
  6. Select Reload Firmware, followed by Yes.
  7. Connect your player to your computer.
  8. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.
