Question about Hitachi 65F59A Television
First ensure that the problem is not the cable connected, the terminal board, or the tuner board. Test if the on screen display appears.
If there is no raster and display is completely dark, then the CRTs are not getting power (there are three of them, and they do not fail all at once).
The problem is often the power board, or the digital PCB that controls the DC line to the three boards supplying the CRTs.
Testing will start from the PSU.
At user level all you can do is disconnecting power cord for about twenty minutes, then restarting the TV with no device attached. If that does not work the TV must be repaired. Repair will start at about $150/$200 if the problem is the PSU, and may go up if more parts must be replaced.
