The dryer will not advance if the unit doesn't heat. You have a heating problem so go to the link below and you can download a video to see how to test and determine which heating thermostat or component has failed and needs to be replaced.

My dryer shuts off before its time and not heating

Model?

On a model I just repaired here's what I found:

Model: 110.69422801
Kenmore Electric

No heat. although sometimes it had heat for a short time. Suspected that the heating element was faulty (i.e. cracked heating coil). Nope. Checked hi and lower thermostats and both were good. Took apart timer controller. Found that the contacts inside were worn/burnt. Item is designed to fail. Slightly bent one of the contacts to make better contact and it is working. Ordered new timer/controller ($45 including shipping from "One Appliance" on line). Easy to replace. ALWAYS disconnect the power when servicing!!!

My kenmore elite #110.73012181 electric dryer with autonsense feature no longer sensing, keeps on drying for hours after clothes dry when on less dry mode or normal dry mode

The drying circuit has to have a sensor to control heat and the timer controls time (on timed drying). Often sensors fail "open" and dryers stop drying. This sensor or the circuit seems to have failed closed (runs all the time). I suspect the sensor has failed in the drying control.

Kenmore Gas dryer won't stay on

in the control board you should have a motor relay and a heat relay, they are the same part you can swap it out with the heat relay to see if that's your problem or you have an even heat board in there that's bad, next time send model number

I have a Kenmore dryer that is 4 years old, very basic model, and it heats only part of the time. At times when it is running there is a gas smell, no heat. Other times just the fan blows with no heat or...

The thermocouple may be going bad. The thermocouple is what "tells" the control unit that there is a flame. If it doesn't send it's signal, the control thinks the flame went out and shuts off the gas to prevent an explosion.

I need to know where the time delayed fuses are on a kenmore 500 electric dryer??? anyone know?

the only fuse on a dryer might be on the electronic control panel there are no time-delay fuses inside the unit,do you have power to the unit? or does it stop heating or quit all together,if it quits heating its probably your hi-limit thermostat on the element case or cycling thermostat

Kenmore Dryer not drying

First you will need to chekc the exuagst venting and that noone has pushed the dryer too far back kinking the vent. If its not heating whatsoever You may need to check the internal fuses which may be located using the mini manual located in the dryer control panel.
