Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(try this!)
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not go to spin or release the door lock if there is water still left inside.
Here are my complete and general pre-typed (!) guidance notes for checking both the drain filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to pursuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

My whirlpool duet washer front loader wont wring out the clothese properly. We have replace the drain pump and cleared all the hoses and filters. It also doesn't seem to go in to real fast spin.

First, make sure your machine is not overloaded. Overloading will not allow the machine to spin out properly. Also, make sure its fairly level. Next, make sure that all the shocks on the drum are properly attached and in working order (after you pull off the access panel, the shocks are readily visible -- there are typically 4 of them, 2 in front, 2 in back). Their heads slip into a slot and then twisting them locks them in. Finally, I would pull of the drain line leading from the drain filter to the tub basin. Once its off, stick your hand up into the basin. All kinds of yuck tends to collect there, semi-obstructing the drain line, which permits more water to remain in the basin, which doesn't allow your machine to spin as quickly as it otherwise would.

I have a whirlpool front loading washer model number ghw933pw4... I have a code of f-6 that flashes and wont drain.... Now it wont get out of wash cycle , and flashes number where its at in cycle... ex- 50

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France @18:00 Sun afternoon/evening.

If, as you say, it 'wont drain' that is sufficient for the machine not to be able to continue operating. You will need to find and check and, if necessary, clean the drain motor lint tray/filter especially if you have had the machine for some time and the filter has not been cleaned. I try to remember, or am reminded by my wife, to check ours about every 3 months

Although I do not know your particular model the filter is normally to be found behind the lower front panel which is held in place by some plastic screws. These are (normally again!) removed by turning through 90 degrees anticlockwise.

REMOVE POWER FROM THE MACHINE AND HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE AND/OR RAGS TO SOAK UP ANY WATER!

The cover/large knob for the filter should then be visible and turned anticlockwise to remove. The filter may or may not come out with the cover. If not gently persuade it out and clean.

It is again normally possible to see and check that the drain motor is free to rotate by hand/finger.
If the filter is perfectly clean when you check it, it COULD be that the drain motor is malfunctioning.
It is possible to check the operation of this motor by re-applying power, switching the machine on BUT EMPTY and immediately on to a spin cycle at which time the motor would, and should, be running.
Hope this all helps!

Cheers,

John C

Whirlpool Duet Sport wont drain.....?

Hi,

Remove any kinks in the drain hose. Ensure that the washer is not sitting on the hose.

Inspect the household drain. Remove clogs, if possible. Call a plumber if you cannot remove the clogs.

Check the drain and make sure there is an air gap between the hose and drain. An air gap is necessary to prevent the drain hose from siphoning water.

Clean the pump filter. Open the pump access door. Turn the pump filter counter-clockwise and remove it. Remove dirt and debris. Replace the filter and close the pump access door.

Rearrange the clothing in the load. An unbalanced load can prevent the washer from spinning or draining.

Allow the washer to cool down for two hours. If the washer overheats, it will stop the motor and cool down before restarting.

Close the door completely. The washer will not operate if the door is not securely closed.

I hope the above helps.

Good luck.

Hi, My washer does not do the final spin.....Everything else seems to work except the final fast spin. Is there anything i can do?

Stop using so much soap? These newer washer must use a slight amount of HE soap. Any other thing will cause motor over amping, burn up sensors, and cause the control to work overtime trying to remedy the problem. F35

ANALOG PRESSURE SENSOR FAILURE
If this failure is displayed, there is any malfunction of the steamer
component detected by the Steamer Electronic Board.

Possible Causes/Procedure
Check if pressure hose is fixed correctly.
Check if the airtrap is not blocked.
Check if the hose is not blocked.

Make sure you are ONLY using HE SOAP!
Correct usage amounts are as follows:

Regular HE SOAP = 2 Tablespoons
2X HE SOAP = 1 Tablespoon
3X HE SOAP = 1 Teaspoon

The information on the soap usage comes directly from Whirlpool Tech Line.

SUDS LOCK (OVERDOSE OF DETERGENT DETECTED DURING THE
WASH CYCLE)

If suds are detected continuously by the pressure switch during the drain
or spin phases, the washer will fi ll 4 liters of water and during 5 minutes
the unit will rest without tumbling, the water will be drained and it will try
to spin or drain again.

Possible Causes/Procedure

If too much detergent was used:
Run through a RINSE/SPIN cycle.
Run a NORMAL cycle without adding any detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
Unplug washer or disconnect power.
Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch,
and Central Control Unit (CCU).
Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
Plug in washer or reconnect power.
Check drain pump.
Check the pressure switch.
Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.

It wont spin nor will it drain

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the hose you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully.

Pl rate me nice for the free help, thanks

Whirlpool washer AWM 5145/5 water wont drain/stops on B

I had same problem twice, the first time there was a sock in the filter at the front adjoining the pump, the second time a sock had got in the pipe under the drum which is more awkward to get to but is possible if you have the tools to remove the back plate and are ok at diy, there is a spring tension clip on the pipe which comes off quite easily with a pair of pliers.

Cleaning depends on use. 8 years is a bit over the top! When your water does not drain, check the outlet filter first, then the pipe from below the tub to the filter. Your washer wont spin 'cause the pump/filter is blocked.
