Hi,
Please check both of your CD type and CD writer. You may have CD rom with DVD disc cause your computer is unable read the this. If everything is OK, you may have optical lens problem on computer. Please clean the lens with lens cleaner. If problem persist, replace your lens with new one.
Regards, Jay

Depending on what disk type you recorded on, you may need to finalize the disk before you take it out of your camcorder. after you do that try the disk in a regular DVD player. if it plays there it should play on your computer (if you have the correct software and codecs).

If you are referring to a disc in the cd drive you may need to remove and try inserting it again. Be sure you don't have
it in upside down.

My drive on my advent roma is not recognising any discs

You can try cleaning it with a cleaning disk but otherwise it does sound like the drive is going bad.

Computer does not seem to recognise disc. I keep

Hello !

Either your disk or disk drive is problematic.

Try your disk in another PC to test. If the disk works, your CD drive is faulty. Try another disk in your computer's drive. If the disk doesn't work, you have confirmed that the drive is faulty.

If the drive is a problem, I would suggest to purchase a disk head cleaner, first. Then, if the drive is still a problem, it would need replacing.

Hope this helps.

First, make sure that there is no dirt or marks on the silver side of the CD, re-start your computer and try again. Does your cd reader read other disks correctly?
