SOURCE: With my K6 Industrial Singer

Hello there, loosen your top thread tension,if it looping on top of the material the tension is way too tight, you will also find changing the thread size to smaller thread, the top tension will also reduce, depending on application a good size thread to use is 25 grade, bobbin tension should have just a slight amount of drag as the top thread and bottom work against each other when sewing.

SOURCE: I have a model 1315

I am sure that you realize that it has to be for a low shank machine and that you have to take off the presser foot and use the screw to clamp the walking foot on, and the fingers must be on the take up lever screw. Be sure to check the shank size.

SOURCE: How to adjust belt tension

When you say 'Vintage'-- how old are we talking about?

Please describe the belt...

Is this an old Pedal (or platform that you rock your feet, to make the drive pulley go around)
Is it a 'pedal' powered machine?-- one with a round leather belt?

If it is the latter--
Is that belt all dried out?-- or is it still supple and still providing a good surface to grip the grooves of the 2 pulleys?

Tell us more-- maybe we can help.

7467S sewing machine beeps four time and won't let me sew

Hi! Probably too late to help the original asker, but I have this same machine and was having the exact same problem. 4 beep error message, but mine would not sew at all. Found this question through a google search, but no answer. But I figured it out! I had left the buttonhole lever down!! (Facepalm) I hope this is helpful to future googlers with a similar problem.

What year is my singer sewing machine? AH251729? how do I purchase parts for it, like the zig zag attachment?

The Singer vintage machine site indicates that the AH251729 was made in 1947 in Elizabeth, NJ. For details see http://www.singermachines.co.uk/faq/tell-sewing-machine-age-from-two-letter-serial-number/ .

Look on the front of your sewing machine and locate the model number of the machine. Go to http://www.singerco.com/support/replacement-parts-chart and locate your model number. (Use the drop down menu and locate the group. Press Go and then find the pdf with the correct model parts list.) You can look up the exact part number and order them from the Singer Service Center online.

Alternatively, you may be able to find them at any Singer Authorized retailer. Just look at your machine and determine the type of shank that connects foot to the machine. (High Shank and Slant are common Singer foot designs on older machines.) Get a zigzag foot for Singer machines with that design. (If they don't have that, you can probably get a current foot and an adapter. We got an overedge foot and the high slant foot adapter for my Singer sewing machine (purchased in 1969) in the 1980s.)

I hope this helps.

I received singer sewing machine 2623 machine and I do not have the manual. How can I get it and how do I fill the bobbin

Singer has manuals for most of their sewing machines available at their site. For the 2623, the manual is only available as a bound copy for $15. Go to http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals and enter the model number then click Search.

I believe on this model, you fill the bobbin with it on the metal pin on the top right of the machine. With a metal presser foot in place, bring the thread up and around the guide that pin. Wrap the thread a few times around the bobbin. Set the lever to the bobbin winding position and begin winding. Stop and trim the excess thread from your initial wraps after it is fully caught. Then complete winding the bobbin.

(On other Singer machines, you fill the bobbin in place with the bobbin cover moved halfway open.)

I hope this helps.

Hi there!
Singer has available product manuals online. You may need to determine which model do you currently have. If you're not sure, check this link to view your current machine model: http://new.singerco.com/products
Once you have that info, go to this link: http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html Key in the product model number then click on Search.
You can also check this link for the sewing machine's basic operations guide: http://www.singerco.com/resources/operation_basics.html
Hope that helps!

Hi I have been lucky to have been given a Huskystar 224 which I am delighted with but the person who had it before me has lost the Overcast foot. Zipper foot. Blind hem foot. Transparent...

Oh yeah, the overcast, zipper, blind hem, and button foot are widely available - as are lots of other fun feet (such as rolled hemmers, roller, teflon, fringe, pintuck, cording, pearls/piping, felling, flower stitching, walking, freemotion quilting, you name it.) You just need to look for low shank attachments - that's what the 224 takes. Congrats on lucking out with such an amazing machine! As for the automatic buttonhole foot, I did see one on Amazon (search 'low shank buttonhole foot") that would probably work, but haven't tried that one so I don't know for sure. Happy sewing. :)

Sewing manuel for singer sewing machine 9015T

Hi
Try the Singer website. http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html
Just type in 9015, do not include the letter T and click on search.
A list appears on the next page and a free download is available.
I'm not sure what your machine looks like as you have posted this in vacuums!
I hope it's the right manual for your machine.
