After installing Windows 7 I got an overclocking error message. Updated the BIOS via online instructions. Now when I turn the power on the computer fires up on the first screen than dies and restarts 8 - 12 times before finally booting successfully. I don't think it is a power supply problem (no problems before the software change and tweaks).

You might try running this. Did you uninstall any software before install of Win 7? You may have to uninstall and then install latest drivers.

Toshiba c55t-a5222 bios update, after reboot no screen


Did it at anytime lose power during updating? If so, motherboard was damaged and needs replaced. Otherwise, try to boot into'Safe Mode with Networking' and if it turns on, immediately re-install your graphics (video) driver. How to tweak your computer


Step 1
Back up important files. This includes impotant datas stored on your computer
Step 2
Update the firmware of your computers BIOS. Also update or patch your OS to the lates update and even your hardware devices must be updated as well.

Also before proceeding ,remember to get a BENCHMARK test program that will help you see the changes and also monitor the temp. of your processor after overclocking
Make sure that your BIOS is also set to shutdown once illegal voltage or temp. will be detected
Step 4
Ensure that the CPU FAN is clean and is still calibrated to the right rpm
Step 5
Power on your unit ,hit the hotkey to access setup.On the BIOS go to ADV. CHIPSET option.Then look for"clocks, "frequency/voltage control" or "voltage options." This will look unique on each brand of computer.You can overclock by modifying "CPU bus frequency" or "CPU FSB frequency." Increase this value slightly. In some cases, you will be able to increase your "CPU multiplier" through the BIOS.If your BIOS has none of these options,your motherboard is not capable of overclocking the processor.
Step 6
You can also try overclocking your MEMORY AND VIDEO speed. Some motherboards have this options on the BIOS as well

You can consult your motherboards manual to know the operating voltage of your cpu or type in the model of the board on yahoo or google.

With VIA K8M800, geforce 6200 graphics card causes windows to crash


This appears to be a driver issue. Or perhaps that card is simply not compatible with the win 7 OS.

My computer is not working....i am stuck in windows system32 drivers disk.sys when i try the safe mode...and the installation stops and just turn into black... can anyone help me ragarding this problem?...


If computer does not start normally, use this checklist to identify specific symptoms and take the recommended corrective actions to resolve the problems.Perform a Hard Reset Do these actions first to clear all temporary setting before troubleshooting the problem.Disconnect all peripheral devices and remove all USB devices and media cards Disconnect the AC power adapter, remove the battery, and then press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds to drain residual charge
  1. Reconnect the AC power adapter (do not connect the battery), press the Power button and look for the LEDs to blink or glow, and listen for the sound of a disk drive and fan turning.
Perform each recommended corrective action and then attempt to restart the computer.Symptom 1: LED lights do not glow, display is black, no fan or drive sounds are heard, and computer does not startIf LEDs do not glow or blink when AC power adapter is attached and power button is pressed, there is no power available to the notebook.
  • Check AC adapter wiring and power connection to the notebook.
  • Connect a different AC power adapter and remove battery, then restart notebook.
  • Connect a different battery and disconnect AC power adapter, then restart notebook.
  • If there is no power available at the notebook, contact HP to purchase a replacement battery or AC adapter.
Symptom 2: LEDs blink or computer beeps but does not start Blinking LEDs or beep tones indicate a hardware failure during the pre-start up testing.
  • Count number of blinking LEDs or beeping tones to help with diagnostics testing.
  • Contact HP for technical assistance. There are no other user-initiated troubleshooting actions until error codes are resolved.
Symptom 3: LEDs glow, fan noise may be heard briefly, display remains black, and computer fails to startup or boot Usually occurs if a component is installed incorrectly, or there is a device conflict or failure.
  • Connect an external monitor to check if the problem is the built-in LCD display or graphics card.
  • Remove all CD/DVDs, SD cards, USB devices, peripherals and do a Hard Reset .
  • If memory or hard drive components were replaced, reinstall original components.
  • Remove memory modules and replace one-at-a-time.
  • Remove and reseat hard drive.
  • If possible, turn on power, press F10 to enter BIOS mode, and run Memory Test and Hard Drive Test .

    please clear the cmos by moving jumper pin next to the battery area on the motherboard, make power pulg is off before moving jumper to clear bios memory to default

    I would update the drivers, check with the chip set manufacturer for updated firmware and run diagnostics on the RAM and hard drive.
    That should cover most angles.

    Overclocking past 2.7GHz with Q6600 GO step


    Please check BIOS update from mainboard manufacturer website it there has a solution for overclocking and others. Else don't push your motherboard so hard, you might get extraneous problem.

    It sounds like you're trying to overclock your CPU, and you have exceeded what the CPU is capable of, under the current conditions. When you start the computer, enter BIOS setup (e.g. press the DEL key), and adjust the CPU settings to default. If you're not sure how to do this, choose the "LOAD OPTIMAL SETTINGS" or "LOAD DEFAULT SETTINGS" option from the main BIOS menu. If you are not getting this error until after Windows has started, then there is software installed that is trying to overclock the CPU for you. Uninstall it. It may be a program provided by Asus, or may be a third-party program. It will probably have "tweak" or "overclock" in the name. Overclocking can achieve an increase in performance, but will void the warranty, and does reduce the lifespan of the parts, and tends to make Windows crash more often. It can cause immediate failure of the parts. It should only be done if you understand and accept the risks, and have decided the reward is worthwhile. For most users, it is not worth it.
