My computer does not start after installing new smps

Hi,
If your Desktop not start it means not you mother board problem because starting you find your SMPS proper running or not. Because SMPS supply all power in CUP so you check it SMPS on or off position. if SMPS ok then you check it mother board light on or not, if on then ok or not on then you change SMPS supply.

If your display issue then you check it RAM and HDD.

I suggest you step by step follow check it your Desktop issue.
A> All power plug proper connect or not, if possible change another port.
B> Have your ups get power or not, If ups on then nest step follow.
C> Check it SMPS on or off position. If your power ok and come to smps or smps not start then you SMPS damage position, you check it smps ok conduction or not..

Checking method:
SMPS more wire available you see it one more bulk wire available and black wire and green wire cross check, if not start smps then damge. But my friend if you smps ok or your are wrong wire attach then may be your smps damage. So better contact good Computer Hardware Technician.

Since you haven't mentioned the type of server its unsure server has single type or dual type SMPS. This issue can due to SMPS as well Plannar (motherboard) issue. But as per post i really doubt you have bad motherboard since you see BMC and other LEDS on motherboard gets blinking..

You can troubleshoot motherboard issue this way. Press and hold server power button. Check if this makes server start. If it starts, then its confirmed you have bad motherboard.. You may also inspect whether motherboard has bulged capacitors inside..

Please install an another smps ,if the smps is ok remove the BIOS batter,.and restart it again.
If the problem is same

Remove the ram and fit it again.

lisay ,I think your smps has damgeed,if you are on line it wold be solve eassyly.Any way if want you remove the cover try another smps install temporary and try it

Kindly check the UPS output and also see if all your SMPS have got damaged due to excess power . Try a work around by replacing one SMPS with a new one . Also check you have antivirus installed with all the latest updates .Service pack up to date. Good Luck.

check wether ur hdd is dected in bios. if it is detected then try installing os.

there is a lot of factor for a death pc. ignore it all. just check the following :
1. is the hdd led flashing
2. remove the cpu cab and make sure that the fans are spining for both smps and processor
3. any un usual beeps at startup
4. any onscreen message or a blank screen
5. and bla bla ... ...
so far, let's fix it
1. check power and signal connectors of hdd or replace new .
2. re connect all the power connectors on the mobo or change a new smps
3. de assemble, clean and re assemble all the parts inside if there is any unusual beeps

it might be a virus or trojan, get new and updated anti virus and instal on your pc
