A normal DC motor only has 2 leads, power and ground. But polarity matters as you would not want the wire to retract instead of feed. And while you could easily use a test light or meter to determine the source wires, I don't see how you could possibly determine the motor direction other than simply by trying it. It is turns the wrong direction, then reverse the wires.

Replacing the Contactor on my Rudd AC model uaka-037jaz. I got a Dayton 2utl4 contator for a replacement. I need to know which wires connect to what location. I hooked it up with the 2 thermostat wires...

On this unit wiring is very basic, line in wires to the two lugs on the bottom, common as refered to is always black wire which goes to the compressor and the fan motor, red to adjacent lug of the contactor which then one goes to the capacitor and one to the compressor and one to the outdoor fan motor. One wire usually yellow from capacitor to start winding of compressor marked on the capacitor as herm, and a brown wire to the fan motor from the capacitor. The side connectors as you know go to the 24v control coil. The reason as to the fuse going out could be due to loose connections in the disconnect box or a short in the wiring at the compressor, fan motor or capacitor, and worst case a shorted compressor internally. Recommend having the system checked with the proper equipment to include an ohm meter with uf reading ability.

Need to know full low voltage wiring information to thermostat

Usually the Red wire provides 24v and connects to the R termenal-
Next the Green wire is to the indoor blower motor and connects to G terminal-
Next the Yellow wire is to the outdoor unit to call for cooling and will engage power to the contactor solenoid to pass 240v power to compressor and power to Start/Run capacitor and fan! It will connect to the Y terminal-
Next is the White wire an it calls for Hea and is connected to the W terminal-
If you have an Orange wire it is for the reversing valve of a heat pump system.
Remember the red feeds 24v to each of these colored wires to complete a connection and pass power to the device being called into action.
BLue or Black wire will be ground if the thermostat needs power instead of batteries.

Red wire is the only hot 24v wire going to the thermostat period! And it comes from the Transformer!

Simple question, Terminals on the battery are

ALL BATTERY LEADS ARE THE SAME
Red wire is Poss or the biggest term/Black wire is Neg which goes to the smallest term which is earth..
Red is Feed wire to starter motor/Alternator lights etc Black or earth wire goes to engine somewhere on bolt on the block and also a small thinner wire goes to the body any where as long as its clean and no paint. and away you go (easy)
Let me know if you have any more problems Ron

TRY THIS:

Remove toner and check for broken parts on tube, check the connection of toner assy, reconect all connectors on dc controller pcb.

If you removed the toner assy before the error occcured check if all connectors are properly inserted.

Motor for my vulcan convection range was disconnected for moving by previous owner. There are 4 leads on motor, red and 2 black, and only one red lead (marked #1) still has label. The stove leads are still...

Red wires are usually the in and out for the centrifugal switch. the black wire that goes to the panel inside the motor is likely the 120 connection, the panel is the start switch for the start winding of the motor. This black wire should be connected to the 120 (from inside oven) and one of the red wires (three wires together). The other black wire of the motor should be connected to nuetral (you will have to determine which of the wires you have left coming from the oven is nuetral) the other red wire should be connected to the wire that feeds back into the oven for gas valve/thermostat controls (you may be able to trace this wire by hand to see if it goes to thermostat and gas valves). Hope this helps.
