How do you add the music to the slide show?

Dear annettesamto

First do the photos. When you have finished that, click on the "Next" button at the bottom of the window. Now look for your music files by clicking on the "Select Audio Files" button in the "Soundtrack" section. For example, go to "My Documents" and then select the "My Music" folder and click on "Open". Select the music file you want and once again click on "Open". The track you have chosen should now appear in the white area in the "Soundtrack" section. Repeat this to choose more music tracks until you are satisfied with your selection. To delete any tracks from the list, select it in the "Soundtrack" section and then click on the little dustbin to the right and just above the white area where the names of the music tracks are.
Hint: Try to get the combined length of all your music tracks ("Total audio time") close to the "Duration of Slide Show". Then decide how long (in seconds) you want every photo to be displayed before the slide show moves on to the next photo. All your photos will be displayed for the same amount of seconds. In the "Duration" section, at "Set Duration", type in the amount of seconds you would roughly want your photos to be displayed for (for example 8 seconds). If the "Duration of Slide Show" and "Total audio time" is the same or very close, you can ignore the part where it says "Auto-Fit to Soundtrack". However, if the difference is several seconds or more, click on "Auto-Fit to Soundtrack". This will ensure that your slide show (photos) ends when the music ends. It means that your photos may now be displayed for slightly less or more seconds than the amount you indicated, but at least the soundtrack and the photos will end together.
When you are satisfied with your soundtrack, click on "Finish" at the bottom of the window. If the computer asks you if you want to replace an existing file, click on "Yes". The soundtrack window dissapears. Now click on "File" at the top left of the window and choose "Save Project".

You can listen to your soundtrack by clicking on tab 3 ("Produce") and then on the "Enter" button on the remote control.

You should be aware that some music files may not work with SlideShow Expressions, particularly some files that have been downloaded from the internet, for example through iTunes. This has to do with copy-protection and causes some tracks not to play properly. As a rule, though, mp3 files should work fine, as well as tracks ripped from CDs, like wma files. The User Guide gives a list of all the supported music files. The User Guide is on the install disc. To find it, insert your install disc and click on the relevant link that appears, or you can go to "My Computer", right-click on the CD/DVD drive and click on "Explore" to look for it on the install disc; it is a pdf file.

I hope this was helpful. The best of luck to you.

Pmp4000 unit. can i designate different effects to different channels at the same time?

only 2 effects can be used at a time. you assign the effects in your lil digital section in the master part of the board by turning the black knobs so the lit up numbers change to the effect you want then push the black button to lock it in. at which 2 of your aux's ( the last 2 i think its 5 and 6 ) control the SEND to your EFFECTS and the fader below the selections control the amount of effects goes into the MIX.

Hi have 16gb touch when I hit the music button the

The best starting point to sort this is to got itunes and connect your ipod. Click on the listing for for your ipod and use the restore facility to return your player to its original settings. You will then have to synch the ipod with itunes to reload your music etc.
The apple home page trouble shooting section has clear instructions on how to use the restore facility and may also have other useful answers to your problem.

Change ring tone

Here's how to choose your phone's tones, alerts, vibration etc: 1. On the main standby screen, press the white menu button.

2. Select "Settings".

3. Select "Personal".

4. Select "Profiles".

5. Double-click on the profile you normally use (this will usually be "General").

6. Select "Personalise".

7. Click on whatever you want to alter (for example "Ringing Tone" to change the call ringtone). Note that there are different ringtones for ordinary and video calls, and different settings for keypads and touchscreens.

8. When you've finished altering the settings, press the red button to go back to the main standby screen.

To switch to a different profile, tap the standby screen's date and choose the profile you want.

How to choose a ringtone from the music player You can also select a ringtone from the 5800's music player, just go to the track you want to use and select "Options". One of the options will be "Use Tone", giving you the choice of using it as the ringtone for the current profile, or as the tone for a specific person.

after resetting it, does it say rockbox then go into some weard menu?
If so, try resetting your ipod and imediatly placing it on hold the second the screen goes black. it might have another operating system on it, and is probably dual boot. I have done this to mine and that is how you get into the Itunes side of it.

It sounds like there is a problem with the differential circuit. The bias I am not sure about, as every unit is different. You should get the service manual to be sure or call Denon and see if they can give you an idea. Good Luck
