Hello Dejen218 - The standard procedure for pretty much any locked digital camera is to remove the battery, wait a few minutes and reinstall it.

If that doesn't work (unlikely) remove the battery and leave it out for several hours. When this is done any off the settings you changed from the camera's defaults will have to be setup again. Photos on your memory cards will be safe. If you aren't using a separate memory (SD) card pictures stored in internal memory will be lost.

Good luck and thank you for consulting Fix Ya

My canon rebel won't allow me to view the pictures on the screen before they are taken, why?

If you want this option you need to press the button next to the viewfinder. Should look like a rectangle icon.

When i turn on my camera it says internal memory is full and I cannot take pictures

Hi there Gloria,

Your camera might be using the internal memory in saving those pictures.

You can press the Review button and press the left and right arrow to view the previous, next picture or video. You need to press the Delete button in each of them that you wan to delete. You might want to transfer your pictures and videos on the computer first before deleting them.

Then to set the memory card for the camera to save those images instead of the internal memory, just press Menu, then press either up or down button until you see Image Storage. Choose Auto; this option chooses the memory card if it is inserted on the camera.

Hope this helps.

Sony DSC-W110 Hi, my camera was workign fine, plugged it into the computer to take some pictures off and the camera froze. Powered the camera down powered it back up and it froze again. Powered it down...

First, stop plugging it into the computer. Next, remove the card and battery, press all the buttons, leave it alone for 20 minutes, insert the card and then the battery (which I'm assuming is fully charged), turn it on. To download your pics in the future, use a separate card reader.

I can't view advanced options. The date stamp on/off button has vanished. My Polaroid i634 has been restored to original settings, and now iconc/buttons are no longer there. How do I turn the date stamp...

I turned it on, and pressed the video/live recording button that was next to the trash/delete button. That is a whole other menu. After pressing the video/live recording button, I just went up to the first selection, "Program." That takes it off the basic/Q-Mode, which opens additonal options, like ISO and Date Stamp on/off. So basically:
1) Turn on, having the camera on picture taking mode, not review picture mode.
2) Press Video/Live Recording button.
3) Go to first option, called "Program"
4) In this mode, many other options are available, and there will be smaller icons.

I press power and the lens opens and shuts but dows not allow me to take picture. The screen reads ''tune the power off an on again'' but turning powers on/off does resolve anything.

Hi!

You may try removing the Battery from the Camera then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then, reinsert the Battery and turn the Camera ON. Please make sure that the Battery pack is fully charged. Next, check if the Menu options or home screen is accessible. Then try resetting the Camera to the original factory settings.

If the issue persists even after performing all the above steps then service is required.

Problem with nikon coolpix 8700

Same problem that would not allow me to take a picture without pressing the LOCK button on my Nikon 8700. Here is how I believe I fixed the problem:

Turn the camera ON.

Press MENU button on your camera to bring up the menu.

Scroll down to SET-UP, open the SET-UP menu by scrolling right.

In the SET-UP menu, scroll all the way down to FUNC (Controls) on page 2/3 , open the FUNC (Controls) menu by scrolling right.

You are now presented with 2 options:FUNC and AE-L, AF-L)

Select the FUNC option by right scrolling.

Choose the 2nd option: i.e the mountain, flower and timer icon (distance, macro and self-timer icon) by right scrolling.

Press the MENU button to get out of the menu.

Attempt to take a picture without pressing LOCK.

Should work! Anyways, it worked for me.

Cheers.

Camera Frozen

Hi,

I tried Option No.1 successfully when my Panasonic DMC-FZ7K froze once:

Option No1:

1. Try turning the camera on with the battery inserted.

2. Now remove the battery while the camera is on.

3. Flip the switch on the camera to off, then insert a fully charged battery. (Make sure that the battery's orientation is correct. Also make sure that the battery being used is not damaged).

4. Now flip the camera's switch to ON again.
------------------------------------------------------------
Option No. 2:

If you can open the Setup menu then the camera can be reset which might help:

Turn on the camera.

1. Press MENU SET.

2. Press the left arrow button.

3. Press the down arrow button.

4. Press the right arrow button.

5. Now, press the up arrow button several times until the menu item named RESET is highlighted. Push the right arrow button and then select and set YES when the camera asks to be reset.
