Question about Singer 14SH654
So nothing is moving at all either by pressing the pedal or turning the hand wheel? Can you hear the engine humming or is the light working okay?
If yes, then this could be a gear failure inside the machine and not something easily fixed. Is this a oldish machine that has either had a lot of work or been sitting for a while? Has it been serviced at all in the past?
My Bernina 334D failed and it was a nylon gear in the main drive area which I had replaced but the dealer wasn't keen to do it, they wanted to sell me a new one. However, I checked with Bernina themselves that the part was available and how much, then talked to a local repair guy and he did the job for me. About 1/3 the cost of a new one though.
I'd suggest you take it to a Singer dealer and ask for a quote and find out if this is what has happened to your machine.
