What OS is it that you are operating on? You might have too many system utilities running that is bogging down your computer.

Honeywell thermostat "In Recovery" Message?

In recovery only shows on programmable stats. It refers to the adaptive recovery when using the programming. Over time the stat will learn how long it takes to cool or heat to the programmed set point. For example, if during the day the programming is set to 80?, and at 4:30 the programming drops to 76?, if it takes 2 hours for the temperature to reach 76?, it will learn that it takes 2 hours and eventually it will start turning on at 2:30 so that at 4:30 the temperature is satisfied instead of at 6:30, at which point it is no longer in recovery

Westek Indoor 1 Outlet Digital Timer TEO2DHB instructions

Question is unclear:
Do you want instruction manual, or want somebody to read the instruction manual and explain it?

1) Open following link for instruction manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/TE02DHB-manual.pdf

2) For explanation of instructions:
-add a comment and ask specific question saying what part of instruction is confusing. For example 12 hour or 24 hour format is letting you choose 12 hour am-pm format or 24-hour 'military time' format where hours of the day and night are numbered 1 through 24.
-and you can also take advantage of fixya live support, and expert can speak with you over phone while you program timer.

I got a package with 2 timers. I had no problem setting the first, but on the second, I want to use a 12-hour clock. Seems it came programmed for a 24-hour clock, and I can't figure out how to change...

Westek TE22 two-pack offers choice between 12 hour am-pm display or 24-hour 'military time' display.
Open following link for typical manual
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/TE22DHB-manual.pdf

Look at step 7 in manual under Clock Time Setting.
Step 7 says, "press - button for 3 seconds to choose display"

I have intermatic TN311 MODEL TIMER IDK HOW 2 WORK I WANT IT TO COME ON AND OFF FOR 15 MIN EVERY HOUR FOR 12 ORS A DAY IS THAT POSSIBLE AND HOW

Open following link to identify TM311 timer:
http://www.amazon.com/Intermatic-TN311C-Heavy-Grounded-Timer/dp/B00002N5FO

1) First of all, you would need more turquoise 107TN222 ON and red 107TN221 OFF trippers.

2) BUT big problem is that TN311 time dial is divided into half-hour segments, so minimum on-off is probably 1 hour since it takes 2 trippers for on-off cycle, and width of 2 trippers is same width as 1 hour.

3) Open following link for plug-in timers with 15 minute segments shows Woods 49664 & Stanley 31192 & Sylvania SA110
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#49664

4) Notice the 49664 dial, that each hour is represented by 4 segments. This says timer on-off period is 15 minutes.

To set this timer, you would pull up all segments around the dial, and then push down 1 segment for each hour that you want timer to turn on for 15 minutes.

5) TN311 has 3 prong grounded outlet, Woods 49664 has 2-prong outlet.

6) Stanley 31192 timer and Sylvania SA110 have 3-prong grounded outlets and 15 minute intervals.

7) You cannot accomplish 15 minutes intervals for 12 periods a day with programmable digital timer.
Most digital timers allow 1 minute program times, but are limited to 6 or 7 programs, and not the 12 separate on-off periods needed for your project.

Add a comment for more free help.
Also take advantage of fixya expert assistance live.

PaperPort will not open when i try to open it

Microsoft's Groove Folder ruins Paperport.
If you have included Groove Folder when you installed Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007, you will need to remove it ASAP.
Start/ Control Panel/ Add or Remove Programs/ Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007,
then deselect the Grove Folder component to make it a red "X", and let windows do it's thing.
It will take about an hour (!) for windows to unhook this VERY bad software - but Paperport will run again when you are done.

Be sure to set a new restore point for your system after you reboot and test Paperport.

Power on bios password

To reset the BIOS password you must take out the BIOS battery on the motherboard of the computer.

On most desktops this is not a hard thing. Simply take off the side of the case, then take out the quarter sized battery on the motherboard, wait 60 seconds then reinstall.

On a laptop the same thing must be done but I must recommend you take it to a local Tech as this is not an easy thing to do if you have never opened up your laptop.
