Hello Nickel129,

I understand that you are having a problem with the refrigerator. The freezer is cooling just fine however, the fridge is not cooling enough or at all.

1. Check to see if you here the fan in the back of your freezer compartment turning.
a. if you do not here the fan then you need to replace it.
1. Unplug unit (fridge)
2. Remove the screws holding the bottom (if any) and the back cover.
3. Locate the fan and remove the wires
4. unbolt the fan and remove the fan blade (some new motors do not come with the blade)
5. Purchase a new motor at a local hardware/appliance store
2. If the motor is running you need to check the air tunnels (pasages in the frezzer)
a. Remove the covers in the freezer as above. There will be one, two or three holes that go thru the bottom and into the fridge. If these holes are full of ice defrost (w/water, hair dryer, etc.) so that air can pass thru the holes.

The above should help you to fix your refrigerator.

Thank you for choosing Fixya.com for your questions

My refrigerator upper is cool but lower is not cool, how fix it?

Check to make sure the the fan that either sucks the cold air from the freezer is working and not blocked. In some refrigerators the fan is in the freezer and some is in the refrigerator compartment.

Make sure it is operating AND that it isn't blocked.

No ice setting in upper chamber of freezer lower chamber working

Cold air goes down and especially hangs right around the area where the heat is removed (cold is generated). A fan exists which continually moves the air around in the chamber so that there will be no warm spots. Opening the door allows a spring loaded switch to move toward the opening which shuts the air circulating fan off so that cold air will not be blown out of the fridge or freezer while the door is open.
Depress the switch. Does it click? Some switches do not make an audible click. Can you hear the fan turn on? The switch is in the door jamb. The fan is behind the vent holes in the compartment.
:o).

Dear Sirs, My FR-291 has trouble: freezer chamber does not work well on the upper shelve. What to do?

Your model doesn't have a defrost function, I'd check to see if ice is building up on your walls of the freezer chamber, if so, carefully scrape away the ice. Another possibility is that your seals on the door are torn or are wearing out, a simple replacement can do wonders there. Lastly, it's pretty rare, unless you abuse your freezer, but a hole in the chamber caused by wear or from an icepick can basically kill the freezer. If that happens, well, your out of luck, sorry.

My Daewoo refrigirator's freezer is cooling but not the lower com

sounds like you need to replace the ptc overload on the compressor as this component supplies start and run power to the compressor and its getting weak and short cycling the compressor, they just unplug and plug into the side of the compressor and when you remove it shake it by hand and if you hear it rattle thats a good sign its bad

Kenmore 106.536323000 S/S: Not Cooling Enough

YOU HAVE A DEFROST PROBLEM. FROST HAS BUILT UP SOMEWHERE AND THE FAN CAN'T BLOW PAST THE BLOCKAGE. OR ONLY A SMALL SECTION OF YOUR COILS IN THE FREEZER ARE COOLING DUE TO A CLOGGED FILTER OR BAD COMPRESSOR. PULL THE BACK COVER FROM INSIDE THE FREEZER AND LOOK AT THE COILS. THEY SHOULD HAVE A LIGHT FROST AVER THE ENTIRE COIL.IF IT IS A BIG BLOCK OF ICE YOU HAVE A DEFROST PROBLEM.

Not cooling, lower part of the frig and freezer gets cold

You may need to set the Fridge side thermostat cooler or there may be a slide switch that allows ou to set the "bias" more toward the fridge side.
