Question about Korg Pb02 Pitchblack+ Advanced Chromatic Pedal Tuner

1 Answer

Any way to sever the "bypass" connection from either the "A" or "B" input? Scenario would be an Electric Guitar in input "A", which passes it's signal out the bypass to an amplifier, while input "B" would be an acoustic guitar which would send it's signal to a direct box. Thanks!

Just use WYE connectors and run each guitar to their destination without using the bypass output of the tuner at all... Each guitar into a WYE into the tuner and then continue to the amp and DI box.

Please! show me how to connect an electric acoustic guitar to the mixer

You can't. A mixer won't take the input from a guitar. You would need to connect the guitar to an amplifier and then connect the output from the amp to the mixer.

A mixer is what it is, a device to mix lots of incoming audio signals and mixing the volumes to a number of speakers.

The unit does contain pre-amps, but not to run a device.

How do I connect my GK3 equipped guitar to an Electric Piano or Synth ?

You cannot connect a Gk3 directly to an electric piano or synth. What you have to do is connect the 13 pin DIN connecting cable from the gk3 to the input on a Roland guitar synth unit like GR 20 or the GR 55 which supplies the desired instrument tones as required. The synth can be connected via 5 pin midi cable to an external synth to provide further tones...I personally have never used a keyboard to provide extra tones because I am a guitarist so only used synth modules and not keyboard ....remember also you need an amp or pa system to hear the sound output from the guitar synth module or external module.

Line 6 how do i get it to work

Line 6 connected to AC power and LED showing power to unit. Guitar into effect input, effect output to guitar amp. Does guitar make sound through amp in bypass mode? No then check cables...yes then use foot switch to turn Line 6 effects unit on. Adjust control knobs for desired effect levels/settings.

If pedal provides no effects...off/on switch defective or internal electronics in need of repair.

Not sure what is wrong with the pedal but no sound is coming from it - the bypass light flicks on and off when i click the bypass but once the pedal is 'activated' it's completely dead! Help...

Common cause is weak battery (the LED is NOT an indication the battery is good as it will still light long after the battery is too weak). The second common problem is the input and output cables are backwards. The unit will pass audio with them backward, but NOT when you activate.

Heavy radio interference when the amp is in use. It's worse at night. I'm using a Taylor 816 acoustic electric guitar with Taylor's balanced quarter inch to XLR cable into my Loud box Performer. Nothing...

Well, the first thing is to find if it is the amp or the guitar. Plug in a guitar cable WITHOUT being in the guitar... is the interference there? If not, the pickup of the interference is in the guitar electronics. In either case, bypass caps need to be instaalled in the offending unit near the input to bypass the interference to ground. You will need to seek someone familiar with electronics to fix this. There is a chance that the only cure will be to distance yourself from the radio transmitter. The transmitter has to be an AM radio type as FM would not generate audio in your system.

I dont get enough gain at the GIT Input with my guitar. sns is at +8 and input is at 100. Even when I connect the guitar to LIN, I get more input level. Is it broken?

I would check the connector itself as the first thing to do. The connector jacks take a beating and sometimes do not contact well and just the capacitance of the nearby contacts is enough to make it appear to be working. IF you sense that high pitch goes through better, then this scenario is a possibility.

In any case, it sounds like it needs to go for repair.

I have a washburn rr 2v and when it is plugged into an amp there is no sound but all the wires are connected in the back and the pickups are still magnetic

Here are some things to check:
- Are all volume controls turned up 1/2-way? - Try a different guitar patch cable. - Does your amp have remote switchable inputs? Is your guitar plugged into the *active* channel on the amp? - Is the amp turned on?

I need to wire the input on my vendetta

The positive wire is usually white and the ground is black. The ground goes on the tab that connects to the barrel that the guitar plug fits into and the positive is the tab that connects with the tip of the plug.
