Hi,

Read a really good description of a repair to a similar model Seems the inverter boards go bad on the Dell LCD monitors quite frequently. This guy did a real hack job, but as he says in his description - it lives!

Pry the frame from the front of panel and you should see the circuit board for the buttons.  Unscrew that and you should be able to see the board itself and turn the monitor on from there.  I placed a small plastic piece between the button and the board and it works.  Hope this helps.

I have Dell 1907fpc monitor. The image flickers and finally darkens. how to resolve the problem?

It sounds like your LCD Backlight/s are going out. To fix you will need to replace the LCD screen inside the Monitor. It may be more feasible to replace the Monitor.

My lcd dell monitor getting problem, can u assist to resolve

What kind of problem you are having? Easiest repair will be replacing the bad boards.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed DELL monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Not power up after electric went off

Try replugging everything and turning your powerstrip on and off. If that doesn't work then it probably shorted out.

Display on my monitor keeps flickering

This is most likely caused by small power fluctuations in the power board due to some capacitors that are failing. It is a common fault with LCD monitors and is easy to fix if you have some electronic knowledge.
If not, then I advise you to take it to your local TV tech and have them replace the caps.
They should not charge alot..it's a 15 minute job.

Hope that helps =)

You need a new backlight or inverter board. To check for a new lamp, shine a bright light at the front of the monitor and see if you can see an image.
