Question about PfaFF Tiptronic 2040
Hi, well most often when this happens, it is either the Power Supply, or the Controller. However, it also maybe any one of a myriad of "Other" faults, that unfortunately display the same symptoms, ie: lights on, No go, No display..
The very best thing you can do is take it into a Pfaff authorsied servicing center, contact either a local or head office, and ask for a referral to a local service center.
now when there, ask them for a "Quote"as to the repair, and if the "Quote" seems acceptable to you then you have the option of repairing or replacing depending on costings.

Possible failure of the power supply - sub supply - to the main board - display board.
Possible failure of the processor or the display unit if nothing works. You might need to check individually the power to all the sections of the controller board to confirm. Unless a voltage check is taken these factors can only be speculated.
So use a multimeter to confirm , if power is faulty or a fusible link is faulty you can replace with the same rating.
