There are two reasons that the unit does not respond to the remotes: the antenna is not connected or, the remotes are not programmed to the system. Check to see if the antenna is hooked up. Next, make sure the remotes are programmed to the system. The next time you connect the battery, manually disarm the alarm by turning on the ignition then, press and release the programming button on the antenna. You should here one chirp(disarmed). Try to operate the unit with the remotes after the unit is disarmed.

I have a 2002 Lexis RX 300, every time I turn the key on to start the car the alarm start beeping. Is there a way to stop this. It beeps even turning the car off.

So I talked to someone who suggested my battery might be dead and that I try charging it, but as "Bullmtnbiker" mentions, the horn blasted as soon as I connected the negative terminal of the battery to charge. Finally, I just tried connecting it and running into the vehicle to start it, and that stopped the horn blasts immediately and it started and ran fine. I just hooked up to a trickle charge overnight to get the wounded battery back in shape.

When I attempt to connect ground on siren, why does it go off constantly and has 12v power at all times on the hot wire?

Hi Anthony:
If you follow the power flow, it has to start at the battery, probably go to a fuse, then to a switch, then to the siren, and the siren should be grounded to complete the circuit.
It may be that your siren does not have a grounded mount, in which case there will be a ground wire that has to be connected.
If the siren is activated when the ground wire is connected, the switch is closed or is not functioning correctly.
A bit of testing with a voltmeter and you'll tyrack it down.
Cheers.

Can I get the installation wiring diagram for remote starter viper where can this be found

1998 Cherokee?
wow , old bendix starters ,they are long long gone, (done many)
a blast from the past. LOL
so is this an after market hacked in Remote?>
sure.
well buy a new system and read the instructions.
if using an old system , get the instructions online, at makers web site, we can not guess makers, of anything aftermarket.

it hangs up the starter solenoid, , and is very dangerous to you , like that. sure.
my guess is the control (in car) is bad, shorted relay in box or transistor that drives the small wire to the starter, or to cars starter relay .

the starter relay is in the USA PDC fuse box.
all answers USA , not export jeeps, this is a USA forum (calif)

How to program remote for viper 650xv?

You can find a copy of the manual at the link below or try this:

  1. Open driver's door - leave it open (door trigger must be connected on the alarm).
  2. Turn ignition key on.
  3. Within 5 seconds, press the valet/programming button once and release.
  4. Press valet/programming button again and hold it down.
  5. With valet/programming button held down, you should hear the siren chirp within a few seconds. After the chirp, press the lock button on your new remote.
  6. After pressing the remote's lock button, you should hear a short blast from the siren. Now release the valet/programming button.

Siren wiring car wanna wire itto work off a toggle switch so i can turn it on and off by flipping the switch

find the power wire to the siren and cut in a relay.power the relay from the battery through you switch with a power lead connected into the power you cut into So on the relay you will have power from the battery to one terminal and from another terminal to your switch to earth the other terminals will have power to the siren joined to the original wire that you cut.

Battery dead.when i try to boast the car alarm goes off and i can"t turn it off without removing boaster cables

Try manually disarming the system when you hook up the battery cable. After you hook up the cable ( the siren will be going), turn ignition on, press and release valet switch one time. The siren will stop and you will be able to start the vehicle. Test the remote. If the remote is not working, and the battery is good, try reprogramming the remote. Turn ignition on, press and release valet switch one time. Press and HOLD valet switch, press lock button on remote. You will hear a confirmation chirp when the remote is programmed. Turn ignition off. Test system.

I can't find instructions on how to hook-up the back up alarm. Ecco must have a copy they could send me. Help me please. Thanks in advance!!!

Backup as in backing up a truck. You must locate the reverse wire which is on whens the truck is in reverse. You can follow it from the reverse light at the tail light.

Backup as in alarm siren at a different location like inside the car. I have done this before. I mounted the siern in the front under the hood facing down and the other inside the car. It was really loud. You can do the following and use the term remote for the signal output from the alarm and that will be enough to power both sirens without burning stuff out. The Fan 1 and 2 exchange for siren 1 and 2 and you should be good.

Connecting Additional Devices to the Remote Turn On Wire Using a 30 amp SPDT relay, connect terminal #87 to constant 12 volts positive with a fuse rated to the sum of the additional accessories you've added and the components you need to turn on. (If you have two fans rated at 5 amps each and a neon light rated at 10 amps, you would use a 20 amp fuse plus 200 ma for each amplifier and processor.) Connect terminal #85 to ground, terminal #86 to the remote turn on wire from the head unit, and terminal #30 to each accessory with an appropriate fuse. A fuse (not shown) could also be used between the output of the relay (#30) and the remote turn on wire of the amplifiers and/or processors for extra precaution.
