Hi..

did you checked that the new pump is properly set. I mean, all plumbing connections to the pump is to be free from leaks, unnecessary bends. i think your problem is caused either by a faulty valve like foot-valves or insufficient power supply.

there is no point in putting back the old pump. You bought new one because the old one does not worked well.

My car keep on breaks alternator belts and it also makes this loud whistling noise. I've put on a new water pump, 3 alternators and several alternator belts

make sure that the pulleys of all the driven equipment are in alignment and not at a bit of an angle to the axis of the drive belt
To break belts something is not lined up properly or something is not turning freely

New fan belt and the car is making a loud squealing noise

Either the water pump is bad or the power steering pump or the tensioner or maybe the tension on the belt is insufficient. If you have air conditioning, the bearing could be bad in that but that's a bit remote.

WATER PUMP REPLACE DIAGRAM

  1. Step 1 Drain the antifreeze from cooling system. Remove belt from water pump. Examine and see if you have to remove anything else to get out the water pump. If so make a diagram of everything you are removing so you can put it back together.
  2. Step 2 Remove the hoses from the water pump. Find all bolts holding the water pump in . Loosen each one a little bit. After all are lose you can then remove them. Remove water pump. Put new gasket on and install new water pump. Hook up hoses to water pump. Look at your diagram and replace everything you had to remove earlier. Put the belt back on.
  3. Step 3 Shut the drain on system and refill cooling system. Make sure you use the antifreeze that is designed for system. Run engine for a couple of minutes. Check for leaks and check coolant level. Add if necessary. If there is no leaks you are ready to go.

My 2006 ford taurus has a loud grinding noise coming from one of my pulley's. I have the squeakey sound too, that I think is coming from the tensionor pully that is common with ford's. The grinding sound...

The tension pulley on the Ford products is famous for wearing out. If you are positive about where the noise is coming from, then the only real solution is to purchase a new pulley from the dealership. Installation involves removing tension from the serpentine belt, unbolting the old pulley and installing the new one. Put the serpentine belt back in place and you are done. I have tried in the past to lubricate those pulleys both on and off the car - it never worked for any length of time. Seems like once the bearing is worn to the point of making noise there is no saving it. Let me know if this helps you out or not.

Water pump

buy a new water pump, remove the radiator, remove the hose from the pump, remove the bolts that holds the pump, remove the old pump.

put the new gasket in the pump, dont forget to put a little bit of grease just to hold the gasket inplace. put the new pump, use the old bolts from where they are taken ( sometimes they are not of equal length ). if you have a torque wrench then use it to tighten the bolts with equal amounts of torque. put the hose back, put the radiator back, put water in the radiator, run the engine and look for some leaks at the new pump.

i hope i did it..

tnx, drcool
