I've installed Windows 7 on my Sony Vaio VGN-SZ110 laptop. Everything is working great except for the built-in webcam. I downloaded the Vista driver for it and installed it along with some of the shared software libraries but I still can't get it to work. In the Device Manager I have an "unknown device" with a hardware ID of USB\VID_05CA&PID_1830&REV_0100 and USB\VID_05CA&PID_1830

    I'm afraid that leads me to the same drivers that haven't worked for me:
    VAIO Camera Utility Update for Windows Vista
    Sony Camera Filter Driver Update for Windows Vista

    There are no drivers for Windows 7 specifically, but the other Vista drivers have worked for other things like the Texas Instruments memory card reader. When I install them I still have the unidentified device in my device manager and programs like skype still don't see a camera. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Ie: Brand Name, Model #, and Operating System...

"OS" are: XP, Vista, and Windows 7

Strivinz : 'M' button became '0' whih means Numeric ON. (numeric : 0123456789) turn it off by pressing FN+Num lock.
And for your Operating system...Try using Vista Ultimate (works for my vaio vgn-s270b) or Windows 7 Ultimate (motion eye application might not appear > but you still can access the camera via devices and printers Section.

Windows 7 has no built in webcam software like Windows XP did. It will still work in Skype like normal, but you must download 3rd party webcam software to view your webcam for anything other than video calls.

Congratulation for user of Sony VAIO VGN-FZ11M model: PCG-381M laptop because now they can install windows 7 professional 32bit and use webcam. Sony official website doesn't provide the drivers for windows 7 but if you install VISA drivers, it will work fine except webcam (as might be you knew). But you don't worry and download webcam drivers from this link and install it:-
