Question about Video Game Consoles
Hello. Try to do the reset feature first. Settings >>System Settings>>Restore Default Settings. Make sure you DO NOT do the "Restore PS3" feature. This will wipe your hard drive clean. If that doesn't work try this.
When you put in a disc, listen for the disc to start spinning. If you do not hear that then the laser and/or the spindle have blown out. You will have to get your Blu-Ray player serviced by a pro or Sony. Sony may fix it for free. They know that the drives are failing. So call them first. If you know how to do it yourself, you will need part KEM-400AAA / KES-400A if it is not spinning. If it's spinning and not reading the laser may be dusty or need replacement. The laser by it's self is part number is KES-400AAA. If you need any more information, please do not hesitate to hit my "Ask Me" button.
I hope this helps! Good luck to you.
