I have formatted the boot partition (winXP Prof pre -installed) and installed Windows 7 and after BIOs the screen goes blank

Hi pratimpal
You should have directly upgraded to W7 instead of formatting . Try reinstalling Windows 7 on the same partition , it should work . Otherwise , back up all data on an external device , format entire drive while installing W7 and create new partitions afterwards with http://download.cnet.com/Partition-Wizard-Home-Edition/3000-2094_4-10962200.html

Hi sir im jeff and my question is that i cant scan my computer windows 7 prof using windows live essentials.

Hello
I am also using win 7 home premium. With microsoft security essentials.

There could be a few reasons why its not working for you.

1 If you have another anti virus program it must be completely un installed.
2 You downloaded win 7 32 bit, and not win 7 64 bit version.
3 Download corrupt.un install essentials and re download and install.

Hope this helps.
Thank for using Fix ya

I can't log on to windows. everytime i boot my computer, it can't log on but always restart by itself.

There are 2 solutions to your problem-->
1-->FORMAT your PC with the XP prof. Disc NOTE:- This will delete all the data on the drive(in which you have installed XP earlier) How to format
2-->REPAIR your PC with the XP prof. Disc NOTE:- This won't delete anything...But it will slow the speed of PC
