HP 6510 backlighting

I had my phone in my pocket one day and when I took it out the back lighting did not come on. I have tried to adjust it every where I know to and nothing. Is there a restore to default on this thing? or do you know where else I could look to turn back lighting back on?

Either the inverter is shot or the light bulb itself. There is not much you can do about it except for sending it back to HP for repair.

If you can see the picture under bright light then suggest you navigate to System->settings->backlight->configure and try to raise the brightness level. Have you tried a hard reset - small slide switch on the bottom edge. If this does not work then the back light or control electronics may well be broken.

Can somebody help me please??

you should try to do a hard reset. While holding down on the far left (calendar) and far right (iTask) press in on the reset button (reset hole) with your stylus for about 2-3 seconds. The Pocket PC should reset and power back on. If the device does not power back on, make sure that the battery lock switch is to the left (locked).

Backlight not working

Did you try to set the Backlight on in the control panel? (settings>system>brightness) The brightness is often automatically set to 0. If you did this already and it still doesn't work, probably try an email.

Series Back Light

It is possible that by holding the power button down too long, that you turned off the backlight. When you hold down the power button, a menu eventually comes up with "Backlight Off" highlighted. The easiest way to undo this, is to simply do a soft reset. Or, you can hold down the power button again, and "Backlight On" will be highlighted (if there's enough ambient light you can see this message); just tap it, and the backlight will come on again. Also check out your backlight settings by tapping: [Start][Settings]tab[System][Backlight] the tab [Battery Power] should be highlighted; adjust as desired. Next tap the tab [External Power]; adjust as desired. Finally, tap the tab [Brightness] and make sure the sliders are high enough.
