Sounds like you need to have the mains suppressor checked out by an engineer.
Someone had this happen to them as well.
I checked fuses - ok I drained detergent water -ok I checked filter and pump - ok Machine will not start. Next step - contact customer service, however under the Sales of Goods Act 1979 I am contacting the supplier as the machine is new.
I hope you get your machine running soon.
Update The fault was as follows: Bosh Washing Machine WAE2446 Fault reported: DEAD Material: SUPPRESSOR Description: REPLACED FAULTY MAINS SUPPRESSOR
In a nut shell. The washing machine failed (went dead) because the mains suppressor was faulty. The suppressor normally filters out unwanted interference from the washing machine mains electrical supply. The part was replaced and the washing machine came back to life.

Coffee maker doesn't appear to have power

Make sure the outlet where the coffee maker is plugged in is live. Plug in a different appliance to verify that the outlet works. After that, there is usually a power button on the back or side of the machine. If you still have no power it is probably a fuse that is inside the coffee maker. This is best left to a skilled electrician or appliance repair person.

When pressing the power button to switch on, nothing happens

You have not given us much info to work on Errol, such as what make/model you're having the problem with? Also, what country are you in?
Going back to basics, you need to check two things first.
1. does your wall-socket outlet work for other things?
2. Assuming yes to the above, the appliance fuse is of course in your plug (unless your country has different arrangements to the UK). The appliance itself will have no other 'user replaceable' fuses that are accessible.
If 1 & 2 are unsuccessful at resolving your issue, then you've likely suffered a control panel failure in your appliance (an expensive repair unless you have insurance).
Good luck

Why is my washing machine tripping my main fuse box even when I change the plug socket

by "tripping main fuse" do you mean the high amp (eg 60 amp or 100 amp) fuse that feeds the whole fuse box? if that is the case, there is too much stuff on in your house that's drawing power. The fuse box is too small to power all the stuff you have plugged in and running. Suggest turning off other high draw appliances in the house, like large TVs or microwaves or air conditioners, when running the washing machine.

Washer does not start, replaced lid switch, and timer still doesn't work. when parts mentioned were replace. washer did start and fill but then stopped.

Hello there and welcome to fixya
I am sorry to hear that you are having problems i will post some information on some more parts that need to be tested ok?
Washing machine is dead, wont start Obviously the first thing to check is that the socket is supplying power by plugging another appliance in such as a lamp. It is less likely to be the socket but you'd be daft not to check it out before calling an engineer as it does occasionally turn out to be a faulty wall socket. This is only necessary though if there are no led indicator lights lit up on your washer as any light that's on shows that the machine is getting a live and neutral supply from the socket.
The second thing to check is the fuse in the plug. Either put the fuse into something else and check the appliance still works or try another fuse that you know to be OK in the washer. Make sure you use a 13 amp fuse and never by-pass a fuse! If both of those are OK, then the most common cause for a washing machine that wont start is the door interlock, particularly if the mains lights on the washing machine has come on, but nothing works. However, the fault could also be in wiring to the door interlock or even the door catch not activating it properly, or the on off switch or the main control module. With some Indesit and Hotpoint washing machines even an open circuit heater or motor can cause the entire washing machine to stop working except the led lights.
You need to know what you are doing to trace this type of fault so if it isn't the wall socket or the plug you'd be better getting an engineer to trace it. Do not work on a live washing machine. Engineers should use a continuity test meter to trace faults with the washing machine unplugged and never test with a live washing machine.

There seems to be no power to my washer while all the other appliances in the same room are fine. The fuse box is OK. Is there a reset button on the washer itself?

hi.

first thing to do is plug the washer into a different socket.

if the washer still does not work, then there should be a fuse, either in the plug, or inside the machine itself.

if the washer works in a different socket, then there is a problem with the socket itself which should be dealt with by a qualified electrician, as a fault socke or wiring in the wall can be a serious fire risk.
if you are in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.

hope this helps

I unplugged tv to move it across the room now it wont turn back on??

POE:
  1. Connect tv directly to socket without any powerboards and make sure the power cord is properly inserted (if it works than any powerboard you have been using is probably faulty)
  2. Try a different power cord
  3. See if socket is dead using another appliance. If another appliance works then the Tv is probably damaged (refer to warranty if applicable)
  4. if other appliances don't work in that socket check your fuse box.
  5. If fuse box is fine then try a different socket (if it works you may need to get an experienced person to fix the socket your trying to plug the tv into)

No Indication...Dead Unit?

Firstly, try plugging the unit into another mains socket just to make sure it's not the socket that's faulty, or try another appliance in the socket you are using. Next, make sure the fuse in the plug hasn't blown. If you don't have a fuse tester, you can try the fuse in another similar appliance to see if it works. If it has blown and your spare lead is the same, there will be an internal problem. Inside the unit is an in-line 2 amp fuse. If this has blown you almost certainly have a power board problem. Always switch the mains off before plugging in or removing the mains lead from the rear of the unit. Back EMF can damage the appliance if you don't do this.
