Question about D-Link Air DWL 650 802.11b Wireless Adapter

Open Question

I have a hp nc6220 laptop that wasn't working for the longest. I would turn on the screen only for the hp software to load and then it would go blank. So I decided to take it apart. Found one of the wires for the screen loose. Reconnected it and the screen worked fine. Except windows would not come up. So I reinstalled windows, then installed the driver for my d-link wireless card that I've used before with that laptop. The problem is it doesn't pick up my home network or any network close by. This card has world before with my home network. Please help??

SOURCE: D-Link WDA-2320 not working

To make sure it's not a driver problem: Click Start>right click my computer>click Properties>click Hardware>click thr + next network adadtor. Right click on your wireless adapyor and click on uninstall. When it's done, move tou're pointer to the top where it says My Computer or the name if you gave it one. Right click on it, then click on scan for hardware changes. Your system should find the card and install it and tell you it's ready for use. If you need a driver here is a link: http://support.dlink.com/products/view.asp?productid=WDA%2D2320#drivers
Also, with d-link there should be a little d on your task bar. Right click on that, click on show available networks and make sure it's connecter to youre. If this fixed your problem please rate it fixed. If not just add a comment and I'll be glad to help. Thanks.

Did you connect it to a External Monitor, before the changes to the components? Yes? No? If so, you may have a Graphics Adapter failure? Do you get anything at boot? Can you get to safe mode?

I have an HP/Compaq nc6220 laptop. When I try to boot it up it flickers the goes to black screen and won't boot up. What should I do?

If you havent tried to boot your operating system from a disk or jump drive (which you can get from you local PC store for around 5 bucks) then I'd say your either missing harware components, or the ones you have are fried, and your better off buying a new PC.

Hp Compaq nc6220 turns on but stays on a black screen what can I do?

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow myinstructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

Hi, my hp compaq nc6220 switches on but the screen wont light up

Hook a external monitor to the video output on the back of the laptop, if monitor works, it means that the laptop screen has a bad inverter board or back light issue. If the monitor has a blank screen like the laptop, the video graphics card is bad, or you have motherboard problems, suggest a computer tech.

That software might not install well or there is an Anti-virus that cause the software to malfunction or better still if you downloaded the software it might not properly download well so you have to uninstalled the software and re-install it ok.
