Frigidaire gallery refrigerator ice maker repair

Please give MUCH more information, model number, symptoms of problem, when did it start, and anything else you know about the problem. I assume (that's dangerous) it is not making ice. Look in the users manual for the troubleshooting guide. It will most probably give you the common causes of problems. Is there water getting to the icemaker? Is the motor activating to dump the ice? Is the ice level detector bar locked in the up position? There are many simple things you can check before you need to panic and call for help. I hope this steers you in the direction of solving your problem.

Insignia lcd ns-ltdvd26 will not power on... Is their a fuse I can replace ?

unfortunately no. While there are fuses you have to take the tv apart to get at them and that probably would not fix what caused the fuse to blow.

From your description the problem will be something in the power supply. This can be simple/cheap or expensive/not worth fixing. You want to check to see if you have any warranty either em or extended store. Then you need to talk to Insignia or the store you bought it from and find out where/who can fix it. You also want to do a bit of window shopping and find out what a replacement tv is worth. When you know that then you can get an estimate for repairs from the repair depot. If the cost gets too high then just buy a new tv. While this type of problem is repairable it isn;t always worth doing. If the shop just replaces boards instead of doing board repairs then the repair could even cost more than the new tv does.

Regardless of brand this is a common problem on tv's., that is if the repair is cost effective to do or if its is cheaper to get a new one. As long as you know the replacement cost its easier to know when to repair or replace.

I plan on buying a used toshiba laptop series A135 but the current owner says the screen jumps around. is it worth fixing and can it be fixed. he said it may be a connectivity problem

It may be worth fixing. It could be something as simple as the ribbon cable connecting the laptop motherboard with the panel being loose. If it is not that, then it is probably something with the LCD controller circuitry and would be very difficult to repair

Television made a popping sound then went out

Definately repairable.
Probably a blown capacitor on the Power Supply.
A repair of this nature is 99% labor - as each capacitor costs $2.
If the power supply has failed - it can be repaired for under $200 by your local TV Repairman.

There is definately no end-user fix for this.
You must seek the expertise of a qualified technician - there are potentially lethal energies stored inside the tv, and you're life isnt worth a measly $200 repair bill.

Problem with tv

Could be a horizontal output fault, faulty power supply, a simple dry solder joint or HVT. If you can hear arcing or smell an ozone odour, it will be the HVT which may cost a bit.

Without knowing the actual cause, it's impossible to say how much it would cost to fix it.... could be anywhere from $50 to $250 etc

Best to have it checked by a technician and get a quote to repair... then decide if you think it's worth it.

Toshiba is generally a reliable brand, so if you were happy with the picture quality before the fault occurred, it's probably worth repairing.

Cheers

Loss of colour

With the set being 12 years old, I'm sure the picture tube is near the end of its useful life. You probably have a defective semiconductor, either an IC or transistor that has gone up giving you no color, but with the green picture, it is not likely worth repair.
